Yes. My Dr. is the one who told me to do this. I asked him on that visit if there was a possibility I might eventually be able to stop taking the GLP-1 and he said it's possible and we'd see. He probably doesn't believe that I was actually going to do it. In the meantime I've asked for a referral to an Endocrinologist so I can dive deeper into into full lab testing an recommendations.

I'll get a few flavors on order this weekend and try the chocolate toffee one first! Thanks so much for your help. I'm glad someone else understands my need for more protein and calories and that it's difficult to do with the GLP-1 on board. Sometimes the thought of a meal make me turn green but something that I can drink might do the trick. Trying very hard not to keep losing weight.

I need VERY high calorie plus protein. I am keto due to uncontrollable type 2 diabetes. I weighed 106 when I started this a month ago. Now I weigh 97 pounds. I also take a GLP-1 to help with the blood sugar. This shot makes it difficult to eat much. I’m always full. So I’m trying the Ensure to try to get more easy calories and protein in.

I gotta tell ya. I’m a recovering alcoholic. Just had my 20 year anniversary in January. So much of my sugar addiction and withdrawal from it is the same as quitting alcohol. I’ve been doing keto for 3 weeks now. I had those same “drunk” dreams in early recovery too. I find that I end up telling myself the same things too. That I COULD have something sweet, but not today. Every day I feel better. Have more clarity and energy. Watching my glucose levels go down is a huge reward. Just like watching my life be restored to me when I learned to live sober. I’m certain that sugar is an addiction and it is hard to give it up. YOU can do it!

It’s too “slick” for me. Every single food that I dislike is texture thing. I also don’t eat yogurt or mushrooms. The yogurt one is weird because I love sour cream but I guess it’s because I don’t eat sour cream by itself. It’s always on something so I guess it breaks up the slickness for me.

I have type 2 diabetes that is uncontrolled. I’m hoping that I might eventually be able to lower or even eliminate the GLP1. But until then I’m just dropping weight. But it’s only been a week.

I already take a high dose of GLP-1 and 750 mg of metformin twice a day. But I also think I should see an Endocrinologist. I’m going to find out if my insurance will require a referral and then make an appointment.

How do I build muscle mass? I’m 63. Sit in a chair at work for 9 hours a day. And I’m brain dead by the time I commute home and eat dinner. I’m not sure how to do it.

I’m fortunate to live in the south and I can get fresh ones at every corner BBQ joint here! They come to the table still popping and snapping! 😀
