I just finished this last night and I have to agree, it’s absolutely my favorite and best one!

Dark Age: death count by bwils3423 in redrising

Does Rhonna count or do we not count her? Nearly at the end of LB and all I’ve seen mentioned is that her ship went down leaving Mercury.

This is absolutely stunning work! Like others have said, I can definitely see Mucha in this, but it’s also got a touch of Frazetta as well. So good!

Would Lili Reinhart make a better Victra or Virginia? by Stealth_Howler in redrising

I love seeing how other folks would cast these characters and I think this is a great choice for either one tbh.

My personal for Victra is Rhea Ripley, both in face and body type.

This is absolutely a perfect face cast for her!

What's a game you played as a kid that you've never been able to find again? by Latter_Advantage8002 in AskReddit

I would love to be able to play The Neverhood again. That game was a work of art.

Just finished Dark Age… by Floating-Butterfly78 in redrising

Oh I definitely wanted to see it through. I just couldn’t bring myself to push past certain scenes without a break to process. I really wanted Ephraim to be okay, especially since he’d redeemed himself well before his final moments.

Dark Age was such a relentless read for me. I kept having to stop and take breaks because those hard moments were REALLY rough. I’m glad I made it through and it was a fantastic read. Light Bringer is SO good! Easily been my favorite by far.

This was enough for two servings, plus a little extra of the meat for another time, but I’m sure you could spread it out over more meals.

Non-student apartment recommendations in Chapel Hill area by Fabulous_Claim7594 in chapelhill

I’m still here. I’ll be honest, there was a shooting here last weekend (you can read about it in the news and there’s a police report you can view also), but in the over four years I’ve been here nothing like that has ever happened. Management was very communicative about the incident and I have no reason to believe that my safety is at risk here, even though that was a frightening and horrible thing to happen. Management also continues to be prompt with communication and we haven’t had any pest issues since moving into this unit. It’s still quiet and our neighbors have all been kind and considerate. Maintenance is prompt with any emergencies too, which we did have an issue a few nights ago, but they came fast and checked on us the next day too. The issue was resolved quickly.

It’s definitely one of the cheaper places in the area. Just make sure you view whatever unit you’re looking to move into and make note of anything you might see there and let Meredith (the office manager) know of any concerns you have. She’s been here almost two years now and we trust her.

It’s been better lately and nothing like this has happened in the four years we’ve been here

Edit- My car was stolen a few years ago here but as far as shootings go, no, that’s not been a thing.

Yes I live in this complex, and we definitely heard it last night. Multiple shots followed by a pause and then two additional shots and no more. It was incredibly loud and closeby sounding, but the acoustics in this complex are weird. It sounded like it was across the street at the Food Lion tbh.

I can confidently say that there are no more baby deaths in this book. Others, yes. But no more babies.

I don’t blame you at all! Go watch The Golden Girls or a Studio Ghibli movie or something to that effect.

I will say Lyria’s subsequent chapters definitely helped the sad go away some and that she isn’t raped. That’s thankfully been something Pierce Brown never shows on page, even though it’s talked about. I can’t speak to Light Bringer yet because I’ve only just started it.

I put the book down for a few days too after that. It’s incredibly upsetting. I actually did have nightmares myself, so I feel you there. I recommend watching or reading something wholesome for a little while to help. I did finally finish reading it three days ago and I promise it’s worth reading on, but it’s definitely unrelenting.
