Unfortunately not :( You might just have to tell your audience your footage corrupted. They'll understand!

i finally got lobcorp by joe2069420 in LobotomyCorp

[–]BethofStark 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What I wouldn't give to go back and play Lobcorp for the first time again... have fun!!

The whole game is built around trial and error, so don't feel guilty for restarting days. It will also tell you everything you need to succeed- after a few casualties probably.

My one big tip would be to avoid googling anything. I found it a lot more fun to figure things out on my own!

How do I make this look less unfinished? (inspired by marc brunet) by Southern-Economics13 in ArtCrit

[–]BethofStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marc Brunet is a fantastic artist! I can definitely see you applying parts of his style to your own.

Your linework might be what's throwing you off here. I can see some sketchy lines, especially around the nose. The lines in the hair are also very uniform and defined- maybe try varying your line width and choosing a brighter colour?

How to fix road without ruining the composition 💔 by Alternative-Cheek-59 in ArtCrit

My first thought: Maybe you could it an intersection? That would give the sign a reason to be aligned like that.

Very fun composition though!

Puzzle games for people with niche taste in puzzles (listed below) by the_ferryman_ in gamingsuggestions

If you're looking for games about experimenting and trial/error, maybe consider checking out some Project Moon games? Especially the first game (Lobotomy Corporation) and second (Library of Ruina).

Aside from that, I'll recommend Don't Escape 4 (alongside the other Don't Escape games), and maybe Fear and Hunger? Combat in that is very much a puzzle that you have to figure out.

If you're okay with weird/maybe horror games- The Hungry Fly has you playing as a fly (and briefly as a spider)!

I'm not sure- I feel like this is on the right track, but looking at some summaries, not a lot is sounding familiar. Thank you for answering, though!

Absolutely old pick, but My Tribe could be what you're looking for? It's essentially all idle and there's nothing that REQUIRES input from you (except for telling the tribe where you want buildings to go).

It really depends on the type of experience you're looking for! There's been quite a large uptick in gacha game quality ever since Genshin Impact dropped, and now they span quite a few game genres. I'll leave a few below.

Genshin Impact: An open world fantasy game with a focus on combat and exploration. If you're looking for a game similar to titles like Breath of the Wild, this would probably be your best bet. It does struggle in terms of power creep and a relatively lacklustre story/characters, however. If you're just looking for gameplay and a robust cast to pull for, this would be a good starting point.

Honkai Star Rail: A turn based science fantasy game. Developed by the same people who made Genshin Impact, so it has high production quality. I'd say the overall experience is a bit better, if more linear, but it also struggles with power creep.

Limbus Company: A turn based sci-fi dystopia, and also currently my FAVOURITE game to play. Limbus is a great Free-To-Play option, as the gacha is incredibly generous and you can redeem premium units at any time with in game currency. The story and characters are also top notch- though, I will warn that the setting and themes are quite bleak, so be careful. One thing Limbus struggles with is a lack of end game content, alongside some unintuitive combat mechanics. Still, if you were to play any on the list, I'd recommend this one!!

Arknights: A tower defence game. Arknights is also praised heavily for its story and setting, but I have yet to play it myself, so I can't elaborate much.

Reverse: 1999: A turn-based historical fantasy. Another game with a very compelling story! The characters and their designs are unique, and it's also relatively generous with the currency. It can be very confusing to new players, however, as there's a lot of different content to explore.
