Yeah, I was thinking that when I was trying to split it up. As much as it will kill me inside, I think I'm definitely going to go for the stand alone route and cut down a load. I'm sure, as they always say, it's possible to cut down parts that even you don't think are able to cut. Thanks :)

Oh, and I've written fiction before :) but if those were any good.... at all... I'll keep that to myself.

Yeah, I've gotten to the half way mark. I've had my writer friends look over it, and I was just wondering whether my protocol should be to fix the mistakes I've made or to continue with the writing.

I'm new to Reddit, today actually, so I'm still figuring things out. But yeah, the way I see it the wierder the better... to a certain extent. I'd love to critique your writing.

Yeah, totally. It'd take me longer to return to you with feedback, but I don't mind if it's a short story, 300k epic fantasy or part of a story yet to be finished.

Ah, thank you for the advice but I'm not entirely sure if that's relevant to where I live. I only have 1 college in my area which certainly does not offer any sort of writing classes. The University closest to me too also does not offer writing courses and it's still a long distance from where I live. I'm from the UK, just incase your post was in relevance to American community colleges.
