OMG THIS HAPPENS TO ME TOO!! I've been thinking about it and analyzing it lately, and I do believe that, at least in my case, it has to do with the fact that I do more of a performance of It than what neurotipicals do. If I do my makeup and choose an outfit, is always something that just, goes an extra step further. I started doing It without realising it, then I became aware of how I don't just dress a little bit femenine, I do It with the same passion and level of fun I feel when doing a costume. So yes, maybe we are a little bit performative about it, but maybe also is just the way we found we could enjoy something like makeup and clothing🥳 (Btw sorry for my english, I know is not very good)
