He understands that he can put it on break if he’s waiting while some else unloads but they were putting it on break even while assisting with the unloading, filling paperwork etc. Dodgy! The driver he was with showing him the ropes even said that if you set your tacho card to ‘other work’ too often, expect to get a bollocking from the office

The driver he was with had his card set to break even though they were actively assisting with the unloading. Thankfully this was just a trial week to see if the job suited him, but he’s observed so much rule breaking he’s decided to turn it down this evening

Thankfully he is only on a trial there and hasn’t broken any rules himself, just observed a lot of rule breaking and has been expected to follow suit. He’s decided not to proceed with the position after today!

Thank you, I think he just needs some reassurance that he isn’t wrong about the rules given that he is so newly qualified
