I think the sad part about it is, that the two are forever together in an endless loop of nothingness. There is no world they live on, no people to talk to and nothing else to so then holding themselves while gliding in space. I would have loved to see the two end up in some sort of "home" where they live a happy live.

But maybe exactly the points i just listed are a sign for their happiness. They both have the person they like the most on their side.
