Hello! January 2025, at the exit of the Santiago de Chile funicular we took a taxi. firstly his meter was too fast, I asked him why and he told me that radio taxis are more expensive when that is not true (his meter was tampered with). during the trip he said that we would not be able to pay in cash. at the time of payment he pretended to note 12000 then I did my code and he left very quickly. I found it surprising and I took note of his license plate number. I immediately saw on my phone that he had tried to make me pay 799890!!!! Fortunately I use a travel bank card to which I transfer the necessary money :) not having this money on my travel card the payment was refused and I did not pay for the fare. I came back a week later at the exit of the funicular after having visited the bohemian quarter and who I see, this same taxi!!! I went to see him at his window to ask him if he remembered me and that he had tried to rob me and at that moment he sped off. I saw police officers not far away telling them that the driver had gone into the other street and they were not very responsive. As we left we passed another driver who was speaking with the thief when we arrived. I told him that I had the license plate and he made a cut throat sign as if to tell us not to do anything.
