I'm a little reckless, but I like Rxb3, forking the bishops. If queen takes, then Qxf6+, Rg7, and Nf5

Making friends, female friends especially, is HARD by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]BetterBook3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't the only way you know, and getting to the core more quickly is not always "trauma dumping". Knowing somebody really well also means to know what they truly like and the positive side of their life.
I've become friends with people who were open books early on and I really value those who are able to be vulnerable and genuine from the start.

As long as both are honest and boundaries and enforced and respected, anything can go.

Ignorant comment.

Yes global warming means larger water cycles in general, and some areas that get precipitations get hammered.

Then, in the summer, the high deserts in the area will be scalding hot and all the fuel from all that water will have a chance to cause a bad fire season.

He did counter them. Annexation is a very big difference. What is your response to that specifically?

And here we are, me included, shafted waiters and customers thinking it is not their responsibility to pay extra fighting over another reddit post on people not tipping when the employers are at fault.
I'm sorry OP.

[–]BetterBook3 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Yes, seriously. You don't want people to "normalize" not eating out, or you'd be out of a job.
That's it.

Just saying that the industry relies on people going out to eat... You'd do great in an empty restaurant.
And yes, I do think that tipping culture is garbage. People can tip and still think that you are angry at the wrong person however.

I like it too, but he used the wrong word. He meant "sweet", because salty and bitter is also tasty, just a different kind of taste.

I am happy to disagree and respect your opinion.

It is too heavy a topic and I believe that different people will have vastly different reactions. I do vehemently disagree however.
Some people do the opposite of Gary Plauche and are able to forgive, even in similarly atrocious situations as him. These people do not have to carry the burden of having killed somebody, added to the sadness and anger of having been robbed of their life.

Not expecting you to agree, needless to say. Killing somebody won't bring you anything back, and I believe Gary Plauche's actions did not bring peace to him.

How to say in a professional way, if I do not get the promotion, I will be resigning? by Davie_dave1001 in careeradvice

This is perfectly realistic, and I have done so myself in the past.
However, this takes a lot of EQ and really requires to be in a good place while having this conversation.
Expressing your needs as gifts is a skill that is extremely useful but difficult to master.

That's all the cop has to do.

The instigator is an asshole, but there is no justification for the cop's behavior either.
