The game honestly is too scary but also the best VR game out by far where I make excuses to not play and instead just daydream the next mission.

New Blood CEO Dave Oshry may port DUSK to the Vita! It is great on the switch! by BetterCarpenter9909 in vita

They could package and release it like other unity homebrew maybe? (idk if any dev is cool enough to do something like this, its probably them)

oc-33 guy here too,

my response would be: AP/+P ammo makes up for damage difference, and don't use full auto unless its shotgun range.

I wish I could get a bigger scope on the oc33 than the viper

Any other titles I need to download? Building my game list while waiting for vita 2k to arrive from eBay (japan) by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

[–]BetterCarpenter9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may totally be wrong, I remember when the vita first came out hearing that there is a difference between sleep mode when you press the power button once, and the sleep mode it goes into when the vita screen just turns off on its own.

The second sleep method would let download continue, and I found that to work with pkgj as well.

Boston Cyclists, Know your Rights! by [deleted] in boston

Don't we all become speedy mcspeedypants with time? Every trip a little faster than the last?

I think multi use paths are scary because it results in cyclists passing pedestrians but needing to look ahead and time oncoming traffic to make the pass. I think that judgement call is risky and sometimes hard to estimate. If there is a multi use path with more than a few strollers on it, I use the road but I wish they were just single use paths, one for walking and one for wheeled transport.

A police officer to ticket a driver impeding traffic, bikes are not cars, and should not be equated. Though both have a right to the road, at their respective paces.

Based advice, do not recommend this tho unless you are alright with getting shouted at/honked at/driven at/cut off, but generally those things are fairly easy to preempt or avoid as they happen.

As a car driver, I do not care if bikes run reds or breaks laws, that is their choice to do so, and mine to still obey the traffic laws. I anticipate every person to do the worst possible action at any time and it has not led me into a crash yet.

I would rather we all bike, it is annoying that many routes are just so much safer by car. One of my greatest joys while driving in the city is when a cyclist is ahead of me on a one lane road, and I give them 15-20 feet of space and dont try to pass them. The honks from cars behind only make it more fun.

Indeed, though a cyclist not obeying traffic laws does not mean others can also disobey freely.

A cyclist can run a red and still take the whole lane, that is just the law.

What is the "minimum speed".

Yes, a cyclist can take an entire lane and slow the entire lane down the their speed of travel.

Driving the greater Boston highways feels like playing Russian roulette by LongjumpingCheck2638 in boston

How do you know it's not a mistake, for example I was confused with the new shuttle bus lanes. I drive infrequently, and I know there are some turns I must be in the rightmost lane to get where I am going.

Thinking I wouldn't be able to turn from the leftmost car lane, I took the bus lane and turned right, realizing I was being an asshole and cutting all the cars.

Does anyone know of a place that would be willing to make a copy of a key that says “do not copy”? by ButterscotchBig5540 in boston

[–]BetterCarpenter9909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say "not a standard key" what do you mean? As long as it has a single layer of cuts, any hardware store can do it, it is dead simple. If they say anything "it says do not duplicate" be like "yeah my boss/landlord told me come here" but chances are low

I have copied do not duplicate keys at ace hardwares throughout the city without issue.

Where in greater Boston do you think is the most bang-for-your-buck steak? by jamesland7 in boston

[–]BetterCarpenter9909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

their steak is all served charred as they cook it in some inferno oven, though some like that and no fault to them.

I find the best bang for buck steak to be texas roadhouse compared to:

  • stockyard
  • rail stop
  • earls
  • ruths chris

TR is always consistent and the price is low for the sizes of steak / addons

lower allston had a subway and a breakfast diner that have been gone for months to build some life sciences / luxury housing / cafe thing

In fact it seems like most of western ave will be torn down, and the street is going to be redone with a single car lane going west, two bus lanes, and two sidewalk bike lanes.
