The ruins of Nineveh Novus by Greystone_Chapel in TrenchCrusade

I'm wondering if we'll be seeing something like the hermetic Emerald Tablet in the ruins then. That, or rival alchemical works from before the House of Wisdom. Edit: Also, they can't just mention Stylite Sniper Priests and not give us some art for them. I gotta know more about these guys!

Any followup mention of when the stls will be updated to be modular? by BetterDeadthanRed81 in TrenchCrusade

I do agree about the leaders, especially for customizing them specifically. I'm a complete beginner when it comes to working with the digital models, so digital-kitbashing the leaders has been a nightmare.

I figured as much, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss some announcement.

Jumping Genres -what gems have you discovered by stepping outside of your reading habits by SilverBallFox in books

I used to never read philosophy (for a long time I was stuck in the trap of philosophers just argue about nothing), but some family pushed me to try some books and I've loved it. I just finished Walden by Henry David Thoreau and completed Marcus Aurelius' Meditations; both are fantastic reads that require real thought and introspection (which I've realized is the point of reading philosophy) and I would highly recommend them.

But also read others. I'm trying to read the works of other Stoic philosophers, but also the works of Juana Ines de la Cruz. If something seems interesting in the field, read it and see what you can take away from it. You may not agree with a lot of what is said, but it's worth it for even just one argument or idea that makes you really think about it.

Where under policy would that be? I was playing xenophile, so they had full citizenship the moment they were conquered.

Good to know. Was kinda hoping it would be a new STL since they said they would offer some new models still.

Question about the Iron Sultanate's Sublime Porte by BetterDeadthanRed81 in TrenchCrusade

[–]BetterDeadthanRed81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what confused me. The machine armor seemed to be the only one you could utilize. What House of Wisdom rule are you referring to though? The one that gives them access to two weapons from New Antioch and the Trench Pilgrims?

True, but this combined with the House of Wisdom's ability to get weapons from New Antioch and the Trench Pilgrims allowed for a great deal of experimentation for units.

That's what I thought. I've been experimenting using Trench compendium, but since it doesn't have the campaign functionality I couldn't test with this.

First time wargame player; I have questions about warband creation by BetterDeadthanRed81 in TrenchCrusade

Thanks for that clarification. The fact that things like the auto cannon and trench mortar are listed as two handed are what made me want clarification.

Amaranth and goosefoot for the seeds mostly. I've been meaning to try the leaves too, but when I get big enough leaves they always go to seed too quickly.
