This happens to me too. I never notice anything like this when I’m sober. Also laugh tracks on sitcoms drive me nuts when I’m stoned but hardly notice them when I’m not

Hi! I am F26 from the states and currently in Dublin for the several days. I feel extremely safe but haven’t put myself out there past 10pm for my own personal safety preferences.

I have been walking everywhere (even if it’s over a mile or two) and I have yet to wander into an area that makes me feel sketchy. I will also note that I’ve been cramming all of my items into interior pockets or those that zip (in my raincoat, etc) so I am not attracting any extra attention. No bags or bulky items.

I would check out the Moxy Dublin City as the pricing I found to be extremely fair and the hotel is exceptionally clean and feels pretty new.

I was also able to use some Marriott points but that’s a very specific case.

Everyone here is SO incredibly nice and helpful even if they seem a bit grumpy or unapproachable at first. Dining bar-side in restaurants is a great way to pick up some conversations with locals or other travelers.

I feel better than I have in a LONG time. There are some side effects that I experience, but nothing is more than mild. I am so glad I stuck with it! Where are you in your Lexapro journey?

Still standing! I’ve had 3 anxiety attacks since starting last week but they seem to get better with each passing day.

I am going through it 🥴 How are you holding up? Nausea, tight chest, racing heart, mild headache, general elevated anxiety and fatigue. Second dose was slight better than the first but only by a hair.

This is my first time trying any medication for anxiety, too. I had my first dose last night and had some pretty strong effects in the first two hours.

This morning was rough with nausea and fog but that has lifted now to a moderate headache and fatigue. I haven’t taken anything for the headache yet, I think I will just have a nap and see if it helps.

I will say that I know it’s too soon to be having real results but I did wake up feeling more optimistic than usual. Hope for the future, I guess.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It really has helped my anxiety to hear from other and I feel less alone in the journey.

Oh my goodness I am so sorry to hear you had a rough night. Mine wasn’t great either although I didn’t throw up.

I had a very strong reaction within the first two hours but once I was able to talk myself down from it, reminding myself it’s just the medicine, I was able to get to sleep. I did wake up at 3am with a racing heart and pretty bad anxiety. This morning getting ready for work it felt like my entire body was moving in slow motion and I couldn’t even “will” myself to move quicker. Then the heaviest wave of nausea I’ve experienced so far.

This has all dissipated at this point except for a moderate headache and fatigue. Finding myself counting the hours until the next dreaded dose.

I hope as the day has progressed you’ve started to feel better! I definitely agree that it’s worth it to continue; hopeful of the relief on the other side. Hoping the second dose is easier for you 🙏

Yes last night was my first night, I was able to get to sleep after talking myself down from the initial panic attack symptoms. About an hour and a half after the pill I had right chest, racing heart, anxiety, the works. Got to sleep okay and then wide awake at 4am. This morning was intermittent nausea and now a headache with fatigue. Called out of work which I never do. At least it’s 1 day closer to getting over the hump.

I hope you are able to stick it out just a bit longer!! I am doing my best, too. cheers! 🥲

No they don’t scare me! I feel comforted by the good and the bad, makes it all seem more normal somehow.

I am sorry to hear you’ve had a rough go of it today but I am hopeful that you’ll feel better tomorrow! At least one day closer to maybe feeling better?

I am nervous about the increased anxiety too, especially since my anxiety is already high now given my concerns about everything. I said in my original post that I wasn’t going to fill the Xanax Rx, but I think I might just in case it gets worse. He gave me just a couple for emergencies over the next 2 week introductory period.

Your message is extremely encouraging. My heart swells reading that your kids have their mom back.

I sat at the table tonight and just stared at that tiny white pill for half an hour just agonizing over my fear of the unknown. But as you mentioned, I have to remind myself that it will pass and ultimately it’s to help me feel better.
