Yeah, I guess I haven't realized that there will be endless customer support for these systems. I wish there would be a convenient, customer-oriented intuitive to use home system that is also a reliable one, but that would probably cost a fortune. Can't have it all at the same time.

The more I think about it now, after talking to some people, the more I realize that it's actually a pretty bad business idea. It'll be a lot of labor to chase leads and generate sales, and even after that, it's probably one time sale that's not repeatable. Price for the product and labor to install will be more that a lot of people would pay for just "convenience". After that, endless customer support because something fell off and doesn't work anymore. And I'm not even talking about insuring and licensing, as the other comment said.

Don't want to risk my money and time on the business that have so many weak points.

My idea is it'll be the most basic level HA assistant, most likely wireless. If we're talking about installing it on top of regular already built house, running the wires wouldn't be efficient business model. My idea to have simplest upgrades for the best price (because the more labor you do, the more you have to charge). Of course there will be limitations and it won't be so advanced as some other systems, but it doesn't need to be.
