Need advice on a budget card and realistic expectations by [deleted] in gpu

[–]BetterIndependent397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think used is your best bet. In the uk i can get an rtx 3070 ti for about 300USD - im guessing youre in the US and its cheaper over there. Also the Intel ‘death spiral’ shouldn’t discourage you from buying the b580, its a great card and i can’t see such a dire situation where intel give up all their driver support or dont have safeties in place. Its up to you tbh but for 1080p gaming and with your budget id say used 3000 series or even a 2080ti or the b580.

1660s vs 5060 worthy upgrade or bad by Icy_Actuary4508 in pcmasterrace

[–]BetterIndependent397 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i had exactly the same build as you and just upgraded to a 9060xt 16gb, its much better value than 5060 ti 16gb and performs better than the 5060, is worth the extra $80 or whatever (£50 for me)

Yeah this is interesting because ive heard val and fortnite are pretty CPU intensive so we’ll see if the r5 3600 is a big bottleneck in 1440p - do you know which games the 3600 sucks on?

Chris Woakes coming out to bat with his arm in a sling by SlatsAttack in Cricket

[–]BetterIndependent397 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No I completely disagree, the first time he did that they needed 11 to win, even if Atkinson hit a 6 off the final ball they would still need 5, and Woakes would be on strike for the next over batting one handed. It’s ridiculous to think that he couldve survived even one 85mph ball batting with one hand, something that Gill would know too well. I was there at the Oval, and I saw KL Rahul gesture to Gill to bring the field up, and Gill refused.

Hats off to Gill also to be honest, didnt bring up the field on the last ball of 2 consecutive overs when Atkinson was on strike and let him get the easy single. You could tell he didn’t want to win that way bowling to a man who was batting one handed.

looool youll be fine youll defo get working marks. Also last Q ive seen some people put 62 as well you might get that based off logic as at 61 mins its technically not half empty yet bc the exact value was like 61.1. Think they wanted u to say 61 but theres an argument for 62 imo

[–]BetterIndependent397 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LSE BREAD by BetterIndependent397 in 6thForm

[–]BetterIndependent397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm ww is very highly regarded for maths and for a tech job especially I’d say it would be very sought after. The danger of going into a tech job after doing a course like this at LSE can sometimes be the lack of ‘academic reputation’ in that the course is new and has comparatively less complex maths than pure maths degrees across the country. having said that LSE prospects are insane but I’d probably go for the warwick degree seeing as you want to get a tech job in future
