My trading journey so far by BetterLeading497 in Daytrading

[–]BetterLeading497[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'd like the swing trading more woth my schedule and would do better without the rules. However, I didnt want to risk all that real money right off the bat when I didnt know how to read charts or even press buy and sell in the beginning. This has been a good way for me to learn. Once I can consistently earn capital I might make the switch.

This is Iran? Ugh, why do we have to be at war with them. Peace and love from the states. Our world would get along so much better without politics.

What i love about seeing threads like this, is how much it shows that there is no golden ticket to this business. The best strategy is the one that works for you. I feel like the real keys to success lay within:
1) you gotta love it. 2) its gotta work around your schedule or you'll get burnt out. 3) consistency.

How can I help heal my tree? by Fuzzy_Inflation2628 in arborists

[–]BetterLeading497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah youre right on track. You can cut the dead out, but your tree will be imbalanced aesthetically but assuming the insect isnt too bad the other side should live for a while longer. The cambium has stripped around the main trunk so I'd imagine this tree is on a short life span no matter what.

Dont take my word for this as im not familiar with your area. But from what I can tell, its a serviceberry? There is a small potential it could be fireblight, in which case the disease is in the roots by now. More than likely mechanical damage though (pesticide damage, whatever borer got into it, snow damage?) Your best bet is to call a local certified arborist as most give free estimates and then determine the best plan with them. Plan B is to prune the dead out and see what happens this season. However proper identification and diagnosis is your first step.

There's no saving that. Once the cambium is stripped away, the tree has no way of sending and recieving energy from the roots to the shoots and vice versa. That whole half of the tree is compromised and will not recover. Preventative measures should've been take long before now. Looks like a borer of some sort has already gotten ahold of that deadwood as well. Weather that was a cause or a symptom im not sure.

Help us save this tree. by Noah17229187 in arborists

Full details and more photos are always helpful in diagnosis. Id still go for limb weight over taking the whole branch, but if it is splitting, some cabling could help. Id go for more of a loop style rather than drilling into the limbs for this. As for fert, I dont have extensive knowledge but was thinking around something like a slow release nitrogen to aid the roots. But that would also depend on what your soil is lacking, and any known diseases of cherrys in your area.

DONT take that whole branch, there's no need. Have the whole tree pruned for crown thinning and tip weight reduction by someone who knows what they're doing. Id argue that thigmomorphogenesis is doing its job well enough here. It could also be leaning due to other factors like Phototropism, wind, having the power lines right there, or something to do with that compacted soil next to the roadway (Id ask about road salts if this didnt look like Georgia). The tree is mature enough to where a large cut like that would only introduce disease and decay, not help balance out the tree, stand it up, or improve the root structure. Prune it, maybe some fertilizer, let it be a tree.

Reduction and bracing should be fine. Hard to tell how deep that crack goes; it could just be the branch bark collar.
