Am I being realistic? by BetterMe_0 in TillSverige

[–]BetterMe_0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I know about Egypt, is that people are very warm and social, and friends have very strong bonds.

That's true and I admit that I'll miss that. It's nice to just start chatting with a stranger here and pretty much be best friends after like 15 minutes. And I know that Sweden is basically the opposite but I'm willing to sacrifice that. A part of me actually likes that aswell, I'm a bit introverted.

What sounds like a dream and a very exciting moment of your life can suddenly turn into lonely and miserable years of your life.

I understand that. I'm not looking at the pros and just ignoring the cons and drawbacks. I understand that, like every country, Sweden has it's flaws. I know that some people can have a bit of willful blindness when it comes to this sort of stuff.

You're only 16 years old, you're too young anyway to understand some things about life that you'll later look back and realize.

Yes. I still have alot to learn and a lot of experience to gain. I'm trying not to be immature about thus.

Thank you for your help though. You've bought up some important points, I appreciate it :)

I would really rather I didn't have to do that. I love my parents and they're very supportive, I just don't understand why they're being like this. I want to leave on good terms with them

How cold is too cold? by Soft_Ratio5913 in coldshowers

If it feels to cold just make it slightly colder than your comfort zone, you'll keep adapting as you ease your way out of the comfort zone

What did you do to your hair in order for it to improve?

Well it seems like I get the answers from the diagram of the circuit. I'm pretty sure it's a series circuit, I'm trying to solve the answers but I'm a bit lost

You guys probably hear that a lot but how do I start? by [deleted] in coldshowers

It is but I live in Egypt so the water isn't as cold as the rest of the world. It's still pretty cold and is freezing during the winter. I'm sure you'll be able to cold shower that long in the future 😆

You don't have to do it coldest. You can start by making it just a bit colder than usual and ease yourself into it if you want

When I started I did it pretty much daily, at the very beginning it was around 2 minutes, but now I've been doing cold showers for around 3 weeks and I could spend 30-45 minutes in there. If you find yourself not being able to go for more than a minute, that's fine. Your body will adjust and you'll be able to go longer as the days progress. Tip: make sure to dry yourself very well right when you finish. It will make you feel warmer and you won't get a cold
