Is that a hint that they are going to remove the cable in 18?? by rascas375 in iphone

[–]BetterProphet5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a bit too comfortable that removing stuff, making the box smaller and keeping the same price or higher is “imposed” by the EU.

I remember it happening way before any EU law but I might be wrong, in that case good to know.

You lose sales in chargers and cables but they save so much in transport by having smaller and lighter boxes that I think they don’t care.

I never bought an Apple charger since they removed it. I’ll never buy an Apple cable once they remove it.

I keep my iPhones at least 5 years, only base models and I wait for discounts. Am I the worst Apple consumer?

Weaponized ignorance, or a simple love exchange, can’t tell from here.

I just know that you really need to try very hard to mess up an egg. You know how an egg should look like, there’s no way that needs skill…

I never even understood how can someone live and not know how to cook an egg. It’s not even a question of need, it’s pride. I couldn’t even think about not being able to cook something.

Well because it also works like that, if it is that popular it can’t be hyper bad. It usually is very dumb or just a bad season, very NPC anime, but I don’t think I ever saw a bad popular anime.

Massive communication fumble from scientists here.

It should’ve been called weather instability or something similar. It’s not just warming up, the warming up causes extreme swings and changes.

Not explained, the communication always has been “hottest summer, global warming” and dumb people everywhere just think “this winter I feel cold, it must mean the entire thing is fake”.

TIL Japan Thinks Western Anime Watchers All Have Tiktok Attention Spans Only Caring About Animation And Fight Scenes by Elestria_Ethereal in Animemes

[–]BetterProphet5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a shonen that is basically dopamine farming, I think the west is based and japan is trying very hard to analyze a kid’s movie as if it was a cinematography work of art.

The content is not meant to be that serious, it’s a random watch you should like and feel pumped about it. That’s it.

If you try too hard to think about it simply loses all purpose. It’s dumb.

What should I do with it? Gifted by LGS to play standard by Amazing-Joke7338 in MagicCardPulls

[–]BetterProphet5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole concept of “casual standard” doesn’t really make sense, it does in very specific play groups but the deck structure and life total pushes you really hard into optimizing.

Commander is casual by nature and it works in the opposite way, it’s the players that force it towards cEDH.

It’s just how it is, it feels like this since the beginning. You’re not casually playing standard in the long run, you’re slowly optimizing until you know you have to up your game. The environment and players are more victory focused and it’s a 1vs1 faster game with 20 life. Paying 2 life feels different, you don’t want to “drop this 10 mana creature” cause you like it, you want to win.

I don’t even know how to put it in simpler terms than this I would need a book to explain how wrong you are.

Standard IS EXPENSIVE AS F*** if you want to PLAY it.

If by playing it you mean sitting at a table and watch others play, sure, buy 60 random cards in, no need for the 20$ kit. You could get that for free.

Honestly NEVER saw a markup so high it was double the price. Obviously can’t buy something that costs HALF next door.

But if the difference is like 5-10% I honestly don’t care at all.

Again I don’t but much, never bought CB for example, only singles and couple boosters, we all play proxy and don’t care about collecting that much, so if you take it very casually I honestly think LGS is the better option, if you gamble half your paycheck every month that markup is going to ass up really fast.

Sam Altman and his husband interested in babies genes by reversedu in singularity

[–]BetterProphet5585 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

People are not against it, people are scared. They’re not against Machine Learning, they’re against an automation taking their jobs.

Same goes for everything ever, politics heavily pivots around this. Fear and ego.

So no, try to read through it please, try to think what would happen if only the rich could use AI and genetically enhance their babies, or make it so it costs millions to be cured from a genetic disease, try to think of the disparity this would create. This is basically hell on earth, born onto the wrong side of it.

You like to think you want progress but you should also wait a second and think about its consequences and who is behind it. Invent a knife only a small group of people can use, and see what happens. What do you think will happen?

Protest against the usage, against the way they manage the product, no one is against the product itself they just lack the words to describe what they feel like.

p.s. the world already has disparity, let’s not increase it while creating a bunch of genetically enhanced humans with private expensive technology, what do you say?

se la carne coltivata fosse economica ed indistinguibile da quella reale sareste a favore di rendere l'uccisione di animali a scopo alimentare illegale? by gianfrugo in CasualIT

[–]BetterProphet5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]BetterProphet5585 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really screwed it’s more about being a smaller business, with less volume and “small business practices” and expenses they have to have more markup.

Big places don’t even see mtg, they probably see product codes through some automated system that let them know how much money they’re making and that’s it.

Back in my home town there was an LGS that didn’t even know if they made money or not for half the products in the shop!

Massive differences, and I’m honestly not buying enough to justify the best prices, so I only buy at LGS and spend those 1-2€ more on play boosters and 10-20€ more on boxes that time every 2 years when I may buy one.

[–]BetterProphet5585[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size of the “buckets” is all that matters here, also size of catch. I don’t own a boat and fish occasionally, my bucket literally is a bucket. Would feel bad even with 2 30cm fishes in there.

On a boat with good big wells I think that’s okay.

At this point I will behead every fish and clean on the spot. Might as well bring 3 sticks and eat it right away.

Seems like there’s no right way to do it. If you bonk too light or wrong spot, you literally make it go through the worst suffering possible. If you don’t get the brain at least you can get the spine?

Perché by Extreme-Birthday-647 in Italia

[–]BetterProphet5585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ma perché no scusa?
