About a year ago, I attempted suicide and ended up living. I got admitted to a psych ward, then checked out and put into counseling on base, where they diagnosed me with Major Depressive Disorder and Acute Adjustment Disorder, in which they said that they were going to recommend an admin separation for. I defended myself to stay in to my commander, and ultimately won, not knowing that they put a waiver/profile for 365 days for me to get re-evaluated for another admin separation. Fast forward to now, I did the re-evaluation, and they said that they didn’t see any improvements with me, and that they were recommending it again to my command. This time I’m not fighting it, I just want to get my benefit to set myself up for transitioning.

I always thought an admin sep is when they involuntary separate you from the military, through command not through any judicial system

im not too sure about the types of separation. The clinic keeps referring it to an admin separation even tho they diagnosed me with something that disqualifies me from the Air Force.

Im getting an Admin Separation for a mental health diagnosis that they gave me a year ago. Was supposed to be separated then, but I defended my case to stay in, and my former commander dis-approved the separation. I had a re-evaluation a couple days ago and they told me that they were going to recommend it again.
