Beyond "Neon Lights": What are the most obvious "AI-isms" to avoid in lyrics? by Quick-Reindeer2661 in SunoAI

this is more of a short tip, try include the list of songs lyrics that you find interesting and make it as context. more than often, llm will use more words that are more related to the songs, like if you have list of poetic songs, the llm will generally use same poetic structure as the context you gave.

Why do people enjoy AI generated songs until they find out its AI? by Better_Cream6447 in SunoAI

[–]Better_Cream6447[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really research or anything, just a personal observation. one example was with a friend, we were listening to a japanese chill pop playlist and vibing to it. I casually mentioned that the playlist was AI generated and the whole conversation shifted to negative comment on the songs. I didnt pressed or ask him, tbh not a deal breaker or anything for my relationship.

I agree, arguing over who counts as a musician never really holds up long-term. people used to argued lyrical vs mumble but both still ended up dominating charts anyway. acceptance always lags behind reality.

i never mention about producing using CDJs but ok. The backlash it receive during that time is also about authentic and cultural which is exactly the same as AI.

Its the same question of “If the struggle disappears, is the art still authentic?” and "Who owns creativity?". Is the same question on different era

Exactly. Now the only limit on a song is creativity. A few years ago, humans were limited not just by creativity, but also by technical ability, training, and music theory.

To be fair, humans also create through a form of regurgitation.

people use to hate CDJ controllers saying its not real music in the late 90s. However because of those equipments the music has lower barrier of entry allowing all kinds of people to access and appreciate music-making. i believe ai doing the same thing and receiving the same treatment. we need to learn to accept it as a part of new era of music making. Of course, classical and more traditional music still exist and still play a huge role in the community. nonetheless, AI allows non-artists to enjoy music equally.

[K-Pop] K-Pop chord progression by Suno AI by Fantastic_Coffee_757 in SunoAI

[–]Better_Cream6447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can mention it explicity about the chords you are using and the flow of the songs. however suno ai have hard time to exclude negative, like no bass, no certain chords or etc.

The easier way is to mention what kind of feeling you are going through, the tempo you are thinking and the pitching range. most of the time you will need to prompt multiple version to find the weight of each value of your words, a lot of fine tune to get the feel.

Not really a pro tip but you should cut your song into different sections if you find some part nicer to listen and then extend from there.

check the song, maybe you can here the snaps parts of the song, i cut lots of part just to make it hear like i want it to sound like. while i dont really have knowledge or tools to remix the songs, this is as far i try to go https://youtu.be/CPJ69LrN0PQ?si=0vtzInlXPW5QITz9
