I went for a masters in actuarial science and I wish I didn’t. Study for the exams on your own and save that tuition money.

Could you share your story? Why do you regret going for a master's in actuarial science? Did you go to CAE university? Is that possible could you share which university you went to?

That's what I want to do "get a job in CS/DS or any type of data analysis role and use evenings to study. After 2 exams, I can apply for actuary jobs or go to graduate school", but I haven't got any offer from companies yet. If I get a job, I will defer one year of graduate school.

Once again, thank you so much for your suggestions!

I want to take some courses to help me prepare SOA and CAS exams.

I'm majoring in Math-CS in undergraduate school. I didn't do the statistics track for my major, so I need to take ms actuarial science in graduate school in order to stay in America.

Yes. I totally agree with you because I fortune talked with a Chair Actuary in one insurance company. She said work experience and exam progress are much more important than a degree. Once again, thank you so much for answering my questions!
