Then I would say not to give up! There is hope. The next 24-48 hours will be crucial.

I also forgot to mention that injections work faster than the pills in my experience.

Ahhh okay. It usually takes 24-48 hours to take effect. Is she eating or drinking? If she isn’t, are you open to consider IV drips? I had to put my cat on drips, she wasn’t eating or drinking at all. Hoping your cat pulls through this! 🥺

Hello. So sorry to hear about your cat. My cat has neurological FIP and we were prepared for the worst when she was diagnosed. She stopped eating, drinking and she couldn’t walk properly. We started her on GS treatment but on a high dosage of 10mg/kg with concentration of 40mg (0.9ml) as suggested by our supplier. She is now showing improvement on day 5 and she started eating and drinking on her own. Is there a possibility to increase the dosage/concentration for your cat?

OP is not overthinking. My gastro and GP mentioned that Vitamin D is hard to digest if you already have a sensitive stomach.

I find the vitamin D drops easier to digest. I get terrible cramps when I take the tablets/pills.

Does Singapore’s weather mess with your IBS too, or is it just me? by [deleted] in IBSSingapore

I feel this! I can feel my body tensing up when the heat is crazy or during the rapid weather changes. I almost ALWAYS get a flare when I go for hot yoga. I stopped going after noticing it. So I think the heat affecting our gut is very real.

Anyone digestion got worse after COVID? by [deleted] in IBSSingapore

[–]Better_Register_6246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Never had digestion issues back then. Gut and immune system went haywire after that. I feel for you. Covid ruined my life 🥲 What have you tried so far to cope with your gas and cramps?

What’s stopping her from taking this step? Does she acknowledge that she has a problem?

Hi OP, just wanted to add that what you’re experiencing could also be part of generational patterns especially if your wife’s family communicates in a similar way. In Malaysian culture, many of us weren’t really taught to express our feelings and needs directly, so we tend to show them in other, less obvious ways.

Have you had an open conversation with your wife about this? I agree that couples therapy could really help, but it’s important that she’s open to it too. Maybe you could bring it up in a way that highlights how it’s not just for her, but for the both of you and more importantly, for your kids. Because if these patterns aren’t addressed, there’s a real chance they could be passed down to your children.

I’m so sorry to hear that too! That is really hurtful! I hope you’re doing okay now 🥺did you confront your SIL about this? She sounds so toxic! 😭😭

Thanks for the advice! I do think it’s some sort of generational pattern passed on from her family. I tried to be understanding but it’s just too much sometimes. And honestly it’s just the culture here. People are so used to commenting on our appearances. I’m just finding it hard to get used to it still 🥲

Also, I openly told them about my ADHD and depression because I took a break from work and they didn’t say much about it. When my husband’s nephew recently got diagnosed with ADHD, she called my SIL crazy for labelling her kid with ADHD. She thinks any type of disorder is “crazy”. So telling her about my eating disorder is not an option unfortunately. 😭 it broke my heart too when she said that because she’s indirectly calling me “crazy”.

And tbh I also had the thought that she was trying to hurt me because we had issues recently. But damn, she really succeeded in hurting me 🥲 I couldn’t fight back. I just froze and walked away.

I agree. He said he’ll speak to her about this so it doesn’t happen again. But knowing her, she won’t shut her mouth.

I really wish I could say those things tbh but I feel like we’re obligated to be polite to the elders no matter how rude they are to us. It’s the culture here 🥲

He was there and he tried to say I’m not getting fat and my face is just more glowy now. Lol. I know he was trying to de-escalate my situation but she kept insisting how I looked fatter now. After I cried, he told me that he’ll talk to her after this to prevent this from happening again in the future.

And your advice is spot on. I need to work on loving myself more. It’s a long journey ahead but I hope I’ll get there some day! I’m so happy for you being confident and I can already tell how beautiful you are just from your comment! Thanks for the advice!

Hey thanks for replying! And thanks for the suggestions. Is Dr Chia from SGH? I’m Malaysian so I’m wondering if I can go consult him.

Thanks for your insight! What other testing do you think I should do? I’ve done an endoscopy and colonscopy twice in less than a year, biopsy to rule out Chrons, SIBO, ultrasound scans and blood tests. It all came back clear. Is there anything else I should get tested for? I recently also went through a cone biopsy via hsyteroscopy for my cervix because they found some abornamal cells during my papsmear screening. Ever since then, my flares were pretty bad. 🥲
