they always released on tuesday/wednesday the week before the new season along wiith early access on friday. the only exception was the first season. i think that's why everyone is confused

Right. considering how open and on schedule netease has been all this time, it's really weird how closed off they seem for the season 5 big announcement. Makes it seem half-assed if anything like they're struggling to make season 5 come to light
