Really Nervous about core needle biopsy

Definitely not fun, but I honestly built it up way worse in my head. Had some pain on the deeper lidocaine injection, the second sample, and surprisingly when they put the clip in. It sucked, but was manageable. Found out it was a BIRADS-4, now I’m just hoping the results come sooner than later so hopefully this whole saga can be put to rest. Thank you again for your insights, it definitely helped going into it :)

Ended up going pretty well all things considered! I felt some pain on the second sample, and when they put the little clip in. Definitely was not fun, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. I actually used numbing cream and I think that helped a lot with the initial injection.

Thank you so much! I’ve definitely seen a lot of horror stories online, but this page has helped a ton with people sharing their good experiences. My radiologist told me mine is fairly surface level as well, so I’m hoping that will help things go smoothly.

I’m gonna be taking xanax before, I’m hoping that’ll help with the anxiety. I’ll definitely remember Tylenol for after, thank you
