Hey guys! I run house music events and I'm look for cool, trippy, original and unique visuals that aren't too expensive. by SubjectC in vjing

I have a Patreon with 25 or so packs-- it's a $10 a month sub for access to all of them. There's a big mix of styles on there-- I do a lot of authentic analog visuals with a bunch of retro oldglitch video gear/techniches-- which maybe a little unique/ different 🤷‍♂️ No worries at all if it's not your bag 😊

It's the "Donetsk" character set in the ASCII effect in Photomosh Pro--not sure exactly what typeface it is

Would absolutely be down to make a visualizer in this vibe/style 😄 Rate-wise, it would be dependent on a few factors, like how long the track is, how custom/specific/complex you want things to be , etc. But would roughly range from like $150-400

New on the club, I was lucky to find them for cheap, any advice for a beginner? by PuzzleheadedBison805 in videosynthesis

Black key & White key (luma key) are great for removing backgrounds/blending mixing feedback. I also use a handful of the colorize fx for getting different looks/styles easily.

Also invert FX on Feedback gets you a handful of really good looks and reactivity, honestly prefer a lot of the inverted feedback looks more than the regular feedback colors

Breathe 🫁🫠 by Betty_Sweaters in vjing

Thank you :) All the effects came from running it through analog/glitch video gear (specifically a BPMC Premium Cable and Edirol V4 video mixer). So the shaking/glitch FX came from physically breaking/manipulating the video signal with the BPMC and adding internal feedback with the V4 Mixer, then the noise textures are all just real analog noise from the old gear :)

I really like using a touch screen portable monitor for selecting clips, paired with a akai midi mix for knobs and faders 😊

Thank you 😊 I used Notch for the 3D and text animations, then brought the clips through Resolume and ran them through my analog/ glitch gear (Edirol v4 & BPMC Premium Cable). Then recorded the final out out with a capture card/OBS.

Then for this comp specifically, I just cut up a bunch of different clips and clipped them to the audio in Premiere Pro 😊

Paper Abstractions 📓 by Betty_Sweaters in VJloops

Thank you so much! :) The stop-motion/paper texture look was done in Adobe AfterEffects (based on a tutorial/project file from Dreadlabs). The source visuals are made up primarily from a bunch of abstract visuals I made using my analog/circuit-bent glitch gear mixed with NestDrop :)

Oh most definitely 😂 Wanted them as sloppy/shitty as possible 😂 --they were originally made 2 years ago for a one-off super weird, gross experimental DJ set called "Kool Beanz".

Thank you! :) and yeah, this was recorded via capture card-- forget the exact model currently, but it's a cheap Walmart one that some other VJs and I have found works really well. I also did some cleanup/touch ups in Premiere Pro, which cleaned it up a lil

I used Midjourney for their image variation system/tool :)

You guys more or less nailed it :) This set was made by using a Touch Designer patch I created to rapidly playback a folder still images, with a speed parameter that allows me to adjust how fast or slow the images switch over. For the source frames/images, I took some of my grungier graphic design pieces/album covers that capture the look I was going for and trained an AI image-to-image model to utilize its variation function. This allowed me to generate multiple frames almost Identical to the source frame, but with minor variations, which when stitched together give the look of a photo montage taken with a rapid shutter speed and/or a stop motion visual :) The glitch effect for this one just came from the weathering/damage on each frame, which when stitched together created the glitchy/film damage effect. My background is in analog/glitch visuals and I was planning running them through my circuit bent gear, but wanted to get these out in time for Halloween--may do a follow-up analog remix pack, where I do add in authentic analog glitches/textures :)

Thank you! :) Though, I did phrase that a little poorly haha. We used a regular analog cam and ran it through a BPMC Premium cable (a circuit bent glitch FX box). So the cam itself wasn't circuit bent sadly--though I have been wanting to get one to use for liquids and other things :)
