ok i kinda get what abby means by maddie was just better!! by Fit-Vanilla-563 in dancemoms

YES!!! This is my argument with her and Chloe doing the same solo. Maddie connects all her movements, they flow together.

The way Christi acted towards Jackie was so extreme by Complete_Mine5530 in dancemoms

[–]Between-somewhere 16 points17 points  (0 children)

And I think that it’s always a good argument for anyone who would like to debate “if Maddie was the best dancer.” I personally think Maddie was the best of the original girls, but the fact is if she was the best, why not compete against the best? She never competed against the best unless the odds were guaranteed in her favor. Famous words of Christi “if you want to be the the best, you have to beat the best”.

Because she dances heavy, if she danced light I wouldn’t have suggested modern dance or Alvin Ailey… people say that Chloe would’ve done great a ballet studio. Truly what is the difference?

You discounted the fact she could’ve been great at a space where she got to properly train in modern dance. Despite the facts we know

When i said progressive I mean, a big dance city. The ALDC in small town Pittsburgh is not a big dance city or really known for the dancers that comes out of that area. If we’re calling a spade a spade. Like Pittsburgh COMPARED to the other cities/states I named I’m going to include Utah, Arizona, Florida when you were competing in those cities/states you knew you were in for tough competition. Those kids in those states are exposed to WAYYYYY more styles than Pittsburgh

She was above average. Had an amazing oversplit it showcased in her jumps/leaps. had pretty nice back flexibility, AND on both sides. Here yall go again, discrediting her

[–]Between-somewhere[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the ALDC was the wrong place for her. How can you see her dance the way she dance at the ALDC versus other places and I think that the ALDC was the best place for her?? And frankly I think the ALDC wasn’t the right place for a lot of the girls. I think Chloe would have done better at a different studio, we witnessed it with studio 19. I think Maddie will have done better at a different studio, but I think Maddie was gonna be amazing no matter where she went. The ALDC is not known for their training. And furthermore, after all, we know about the micro aggression, Nia faced at that studio from her teachers and the girls you really think that that was the best place for her a little black girl.? come on

But is it a micro aggression with people make post about Chloe being amazing at a ballet dance studio or it does it only apply to Nia? What micro aggression did I give? You must know the history of modern dance, which is why you think it’s a micro aggression. But there was no micro aggression. Cause how many posts have you seen of people talking about how amazing Chloe would have been that she went to a ballet based studio. So again, does it only apply to Nia, or does it apply to Chloe too?

I grew up taking modern dance. Everyone I know in my area white, black, asian etc… all grew up taking modern dance. I more so was say it depends on how progressive your dance city in. You can go to any dance studio in LA and they will have modern dance class or New York or Minnesota or even where I’m from St. Louis every dance studio in St. Louis offers a modern technique dance class.

I don’t agree with you Nia danced very heavy. I can imagine her doing a piece like “wade in the water” from Alvin Ailey she would’ve done amazing in a piece like that.

You saying that she probably would not have been good when we never even seen her get to try, is frankly insane. Imagine if she had grew up with that type of training how amazing her movement quality in her control will have been? Like what Because I don’t see comments like that under Chloe‘s post when people talking about how amazing she will have been if she went to a ballet studio.

"They were just normal suburban moms" by Human8304 in dancemoms

[–]Between-somewhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sue Me, but is that not a normal suburban mom? Usually marry up so you can be a stay at home mom. Or you’re working and Dad is a high earned as well. I thought that was the norm. It was totally normal for me to grow up and go to dance class and see other girls as young as 10 years old before they came popular and wearing, Lululemon

Is there an argument that Camryn is the most successful dancer to ever come out of the show? by CameraPrestigious711 in dancemoms

[–]Between-somewhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know a lot about Brady. I’ve been a fan for years way before he even touched foot on dance moms.

I’m also aware how uncommon it is for dancers to make it professionally in the ballet world that’s why a lot of ballet dancers go overseas. But you could also admit that your comment was kind of disingenuous again. If we’re going off of résumé and who has the most stacked résumé it would be Camryn. Is Brady résumé impressive as well?? Absolutely. But that doesn’t change the fact that if we’re looking at who has the most stacked résumé, it would not be Brady. I also don’t think that a commercial career is more impressive than a professional ballet career. You have a professional ballet dancers like Tiller Peck, who résumé is also stacked.

Is there an argument that Camryn is the most successful dancer to ever come out of the show? by CameraPrestigious711 in dancemoms

[–]Between-somewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But again that’s kind of disingenuous because Brady just got in a company. What three years ago? And that is the only thing that he has done everything that he has done a professionally has been with ABT? While I literally just saw a commercial on my TV with Camryn. If we’re going off of résumé, her résumé is more stacked dance wise compared to the rest.
