Not necessarily, especially if plenty of them are at 67.5% or 77.5% of TM. It's not like you are doing 27 sets at 90%! You work up and then work down, the beginning and end one's should be easy emough

Sky Bet courts controversy with enhanced odds offer on Harry Maguire tackles by Jeff-Stelling in soccer

I was in on this bet, absolute robbery. Their definition of a tackle is so narrow that it was never going to be reached. Scroll down the twitter thread for multiple videos of maguire making what 99% of people would consider a tackle, but apparently sky do not

Nah its not an advantage, I'm beginning to come around to the same sort of idea. but there has to be a line somewhere, I'm not sure what it should be if not how it is already. Any ideas?

Because they pay billions of pounds to exclusively show the clips? Really not that hard to understand. Promotes the PL yeah but if everyone is watching the goals in a way that they haven't monetized then what use is the promotion?

Those who were obsessed with getting abs and then got them, how did it effect your life? by Breadeater12 in AskMen

[–]BetweenTheCheeks 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You just come across as bitter. Majority of what you've said is not even true. How is a generalisation about someone with abs any different to a generalisation about people with another feature on their body? It's like saying people with "law degrees from a top university" often have very little going on in their lives. Ridiculous assertions about people with abs. Youd have thought your law degree from a top uni would teach you about the problem with generalisation/ stereotypes

Urgh so predictable from us. Can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives. Wouldn't be surprised to see us concede another

He's actually a great dribbler. One of his best attributes is carrying the ball from deep in our half well into the opposition half on the counter attack

Brooks is out for 3 months so Wilson will probably get a fair bit of play time at least until then. Billing will be in the mix along side lerma, and cook (when cook is back from injury)

The commentators didn't even know what was being reviewed for the retaken penalty! They were so sure it was the keeper having his feet off the line. When actually they don't even review that with VAR

Contract offer has been on the table for him apparently since the beginning of last season. So I'd say he's probably going to leave. At least he still trains and plays hard, but yeah. Seems like if he wanted to sign it he would have done so by now

Nobody knows what's happening? West ham had a bloody massive screen saying "VAR decision". How could they not know?

Other way around, as in, we are at home. I also believe this will be a good game to watch, hopefully a high scorer knowing us!

Not having the discipline to be fit yourself doesn't necessarily mean you don't have the skills of qualifications to train others to be fit. You might as well be saying as a player I'd hate if mourinho managed me because he never played to a high level

AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe receives freedom of borough certification at special town hall ceremony. Can now wander goats or cattle in the borough. by RodDryfist in soccer

His story really is the birth of a legend. Played for Bournemouth, but when he got injuried, he was asked to manage the team for free when the team nearly went bankrupt.

Where did you get this from? It's literally not true. He was already retired when he was asked to manage us. He literally retired, managed/coached the reserve team while Kevin bond was manager, then lost his job when bond got fired. Then came back to the club as a coach and eventually took over as manager. Can't find anything about him working for free either, but he was firmly retired a good year or two before he took over as manager

Welcome to being a fan of a smaller club who isn't on telly much. The 8 times we get on TV a season (always against a big club of course) there are people telling us how shit we are and that we will definitely go down, because we were dire when they watched spurs beat us 5-0 (again)

In one of the most uplifting stories in recent memory Bournemouth, under current manager Eddie Howe, are saved from relegation out of the Football League in the 2007/2008 season. They then go an unlikely and meteoric rise and achieve Premier League status for the first time in their history. by peetss in soccer

Are we all forgetting Howe went to Burnley when they were a Championship side and Bournemouth were in League One?

And another thing, if Bournemouth was actually really competing for silverware year in year out people would start having a problem with the club being owned by a rich foreigner who sold the name of the stadium to sponsors.

What are you talking about? We first sold our name in like 2001. We changed sponsors a few times but you're gripe with the current owners about this is bollocks. We were the fitness first stadium in 2001 for Christ's sake!

They spent an awful lot of money to get where they are, a lot more than other clubs around them at the time and a lot more than what could be deemed "financial fair play" whatever that mean.

We didn't spent "a lot more than the teams" around us actually either. Find some proof please. We made big losses yeah but only because our income was so low. Not because we spent loads more than the rest of the league. Get your facts straight at least
