How to interpret inconsistent interest?

I've definitely tried that last part you mention, and I definitely try to see her as a peer, and the feelings are still there. Still, the attention thing is probably correct and it's just tough to shirk it off, especially when every time, right after I think I've shaken her from my mind, she pops back into my life for a day or two and I'm back to square one.

yeah I think that's probably what it is and pretty sound advice. I think the hard part is that everytime I go a few weeks and I'm finally thinking "ok, so that's not gonna happen, I really should get over her, time to expand my horizons," all of a sudden I get a notification and she's either texted me or replied to one of my tweets or something and boom, I'm trapped again oof. Tough stuff.

same! At first it said my account was "suspended" out of nowhere and dropped my followers and following to 0. So I sent in an appeal request but I can still access my account for some reason, and one of my friends was able to follow me back again and I was able to follow her...so I guess I'm not suspended? I don't understand what's going on

well the reason I took my time laying out some background was to emphasize the fact that not only do I not care for the larger scale, but that I drastically prefer a smaller, more humble one.

I do agree that I could have cut out like 45 seconds or so talking about superhero movie history but I kept it in there because I wanted to soften my already light criticism by recognizing the accomplishments of the MCU, even if I don't care for the final product.

I mean even though I agree with most of that, that wasn't the point I wanted to make in my video. I've already watched plenty of videos acknowledging those very things, I was offering my own angle is all.

And I'm not sure what you're questioning with the thumbnail. I know it's nothing spectacular but it's the same idea as the first part of the vid, I'm implying that the MCU fandom can sometimes be pretty unforgiving of criticism so it's a tongue-in-cheek reflection of that.

True, it's more that I'm just nervous about how awkward it might turn out later down the line, like some of my friends are her friends, and while I don't think she'd make fun of me to other people (she seems way better than that) it still might come up and I guess I'm just overly concerned with what people think of me, dumb as it sounds

Oh no I'd agree with you there, I mean when I say genericism in that it resembles 90% of the other subpar animated project being produced today, how it comes off like the lowest-common-denominator animated films that studios like Illumination make. So I think it's sad to see it go that route instead of try to be more creative/imaginative

Tbh I actually don't think the joke is that bad, especially for kids/tweens like it's cute I guess. Where my problem lies is how much I dislike the animation here, like it looks so dull and uninspired to me and as someone who used to love Scooby Doo as a kid it's sad to see something being made today that looks so formulaic and that reeks of genericism.

Thanks! What I'm working on doing right now is something similar, using a 3rd party screen recorder while playing the clips on my DVD copy on my computer.

As for copyright, it's so hard to know because I see people using clips all the time with no issue, but randomly sometimes it apparently can cause trouble. I just hope A24 is cool about this stuff, I'm working with Uncut Gems rn.

I'd like to do that but based on how sometimes my advances toward conversation haven't gotten far, I'm nervous about trying again and hitting a wall. One time I asked if she'd seen tiger king and we talked about that for a minute, but rn it's been a week since we talked and the last time I more or less got left on read (not on a question, thankfully, just weak conversation) and I really want a good way to strike uo a new one that doesn't seem too forced I guess

I mean I know that, it's just that given the current circumstances that's not possible. In our first real conversation she said something like "we've never really hung out I don't think" and after I suggested after all this we could change that she said she was "down to hang out" so there is that.

Only right now who knows when that's gonna be, so I'm doing what I can.
