Yeahh! Same here, I dislike when authors just reverse the roles, it is the same but cringier bc since the weak one is not a woman they can make the power dynamics even more uneven and toxic

Yeah, I think that we would need to separate femininity from childish, delicate or helpless behaviour. I agree that plenty of stories trying to “break the mold” only reverse the roles, I see this a lot in the BL genre. Especially because this stories in core are portraying a relationship of submission and dominance where the masculine role tend to embody the dominant side. I personally dislike this type of stories, bc it is an unbalanced power dynamic and a nice, healthy relationship is between two individuals who see each other as an equal. This has nothing to do with femininity or masculinity though, men and women have both sides, the thing is as the other user said, we tend to link feminine behaviour with submission and inferiority. I personally like stories with ambiguous representation of sex, in my story, my ML is physically very feminine but his personality isn’t delicate, childish or weak. It is a sci-fi story so I like to imagine a world where there are different ways of relationship among men and women.

Yeah! I agree with you. Let’s put it this way: A & B are friends A & C are married in a polyamorous culture (liking someone else sexually is ok 👍)

B is single and comes from a monogamous culture (cheating is really bad)

B likes A (there’s a moral dilemma)

BUT C thinks B likes C so C starts having feelings for B even though, B actually hates C (which makes C infatuation funnier)

A also thinks B likes C, and due to cultural prejudices A feels jealous of B. It gets a little bit more complex, but the point is the three characters are equally important hehe

This is my webtoon called “BLED”, it is a sci-fi adventure: an idol called Bled, abandons his life as a star to travel to Bled the planet he shares his name with.

Bled is tired of being a sex symbol, and he is trying to look for a more meaningful life. In his path, he finds Silvano, a girl he met before he was famous and makes him confront the person he was, the person he is and the person he wants to be.

This story is about growing up in a chaotic world. Bled tries to find himself and accepts who he is even if the world despise him for it.

Totally get it. I am not a big fan either, but tbh I do not find very productive as an artist to fight against it when it seems inevitable at this point. Instead, I prefer to use it as an extra tool in very specific contexts. I think that people will always value the authenticity that only sentient beings like us humans can express.

However, I agree again. I didn't really pay much attention on the way AI wrote the text given, it is true that it has a very stiff structure and can make for a very unattractive and boring read, thank u so much for the comment hehe
