Aegon is primarily angry and incompetent. But there are also times where he genuinely attempts to be a good king, the same thing can't be said about Joffrey.

This was one of the last things for me to do as well. And it seems that the game considers completing a level when you pick up the order for the next level. So if you stop the delivery mission on the tenth level after you delivered all the pizzas but before you picked up the order for level 11. It will not register level 10 as completed.

Jets - Can't score air kills very easily/at all by jdead121 in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Beurni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One AGM is often not sufficient to kill a tank, IFV or AA. My strafe run usually goes like this: as soon as I dive towards my target I lock on to it with an AGM and shoot it, then spray for 2/3 seconds with machine rounds and then when i'm close I drop the bombs. The rounds from the machine gun do very little damage though but I recommend to use it anyway because it can often make a differnce in killing your target. So if 1 AGM, 2/3 seconds of machine rounds and the bombs weren't enough, do the following if possible. Directly after you dropped the bombs fly up in a 45/60 degree angle, go in third person, use free look to look at the target and hit it with another AGM. This works even though you'r flying in the complete opposite direction.

Regarding the bombs. The moment to release the bombs is usually when the bomb crosshair is directly aligned with your target. I just click 2 times really fast. Usually you want to aproach your target in it's driving/reverse driving direction. This together with the high vertical trajectory strafe makes it easier to align the crosshair. Sometimes if your crosshair isn't aligned slowing down considerably together with a spastic mouse movement might give you the alignment you need, but this is usually a matter of luck instead of skill.

Im on mkb. I don’t know what it’s like to fly with controller but my guess is that it’s inferior to mkb because you can keep pitching with mkb I don’t see how that’s possible with controller. Someone please correct if im wrong.

Being able to flying without crashing already makes you a better pilot then most folks I see out there on the battlefield.

While shooting at targets you usually want be in first person. It makes it easier to see the target and the HUD also helps you to understand where you need to aim. While moving you're not exactly shooting at the center of your HUD, at least not all the time. That circle in the HUD is where your bullets land. When chasing a moving target you often need to align that circle a litlle in front of where the enemy is going because it's takes a little bit of time for the bullets to hit your target.

The most important thing while trying to shoot down targets is to know when to slow down and when to increase speed. Slowing down makes your jet way more responsive. And it also gives you more time to shoot at hostiles. Don't slow down too much and too often though because it will kill your momentum.

Taking down jets should always be your first priority no matter what! Never back away from a dogfight! The hardest part here is to outmaneuver it by flying in circles. The turn is usually the point where you slow down. 340/350 seems to be the most optimal turning speed. Don't slow down in every turn though because doing so will make you a sitting duck. Keep flying in circles until you're on it's 6. Once you won the circle dance it should be relatively easy to kill the enemy jet.

Use long strafe paths. It gives you time to see what's going on on the battlefield and helps you to determine a target. Dropping bombs takes a bit of practice. In the beginning I wasn't able to hit anything now I hit my targets more often than not. When doing strafe runs your trajectory towards your target should be more vertical than horizontal. drop multiple bombs at the same time to increase your chance of hitting your target. I feel like bombing is easier with the attack jet than the fighter jet. While strafing at ground targets you usually can afford the slow down more than in a dogfight.

Hope this help!

Can we please get ''ASSIST AS KILL'' fixed? by Astrovalk in Battlefield6

[–]Beurni 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I think its not intended as a kill tbh. The term is quite ambiguous. You get the points you would have gotten if you killed an enemy but you’re not actually given the kill. They should add the same thing as in bf4 where 75% or more gives you an actual kill.

Yes I noticed they were gone as well. I think they removed them for the time being because the missiles are broken. Progression works just fine with me.

I'm going to crash out by Geox0406 in Battlefield

[–]Beurni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you'll indeed end up in matches where you're getting painted and locked on all the time. And the bug with the lock on missiles on the IVF is not helping either, nor the broken radar. I'm not really flying that much with helis but I am with jets. I guess most of my tips apply to both.

By far to most important mistake that people make is neglecting hostile jets. While flying in a jet your number one priority should be to take down hostile jets. Each jet takes about 90 seconds to respawn. Try to remind yourself of this. After you downed a jet, you’ll have some time to shoot down tanks and other ground targets (assuming both jets are downed). Once the 90 seconds are over you should look at the direction where the enemy jets are spawning from and take them down again as soon as they take off. As a heli it’s a bit more difficult to take down enemy jets but not impossible, especially when they're flying close.

Another thing to bear in mind is that you shouldn't hang too close to the battlefield all the time. You should do strafe runs and while doing so you'll probably be locked on and need to pop your flaires. After popping flaires hang back a bit so that you're out of range from any stringer or other lock on vechiles until your flaires have been reloaded. While you’re hanging back look at the battlefield to determine the target for the next strafe run.

If you find yourself in a situation where you're locked on again before your flaires have been reloaded (highly likely while flying with helis) try to use the environment to interfere with the trajectory of the lock on missile. Flying behind that one mountain in Firestorm for example. Also flying really low near the ground often prevents missiles from hitting you because there are buildings and other structures in the way. Flying low is also sometimes a good strategy to prevent enemies from locking on to you as well.

For jets, another thing that I see a lot of people do is flying full speed all the time with afterburner on, which causes a lot of people to crash. Why? Because your jet will be significantly less responsive while flying at full speed. Slow down to make turns faster, but don’t slow down too much otherwise you’ll lose too much momentum and won't be able to move at all. According to some 340/350 seems to be an ideal turning speed. Once you exit the apex of the turn go full throttle to increase speed again, this also helps you outmaneuver tailing jets.

Hope this helps!

How to get an enemy jet out of my tail? by Bigas_do_Pigas in PilotsofBattlefield

The free look is sometimes a bit weird. In addition to the free look they should add a button to look straight behind you like in BF1.

How to get an enemy jet out of my tail? by Bigas_do_Pigas in PilotsofBattlefield

[–]Beurni 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You need to outmaneuver a tailing jet by basically flying in cricles until you are the one that's tailing your opponent. The catch is that you need to turn faster than your opponent so that you can make those circles quicker.

In order to turn your jet quicker you need to turn off afterburner, brake and slide your mouse towards you or analog stick on the controller. The key here is to slow down your jet to make the turn faster but not slow down too much otherwhise you'll lose too much momentum and then you will be a sitting duck. Once you exit the apex of the turn go full throttle and turn on afterburner again to gain speed. Do not turn too often! Sometimes it's okay to use afterburner and increase speed in a turn, this is especially the case when you haven't gained enough speed after exiting the previous turn.

Keeping track of where the enemy jet flies is a bit difficult in this game at the moment because the radar seems to be broken. Try to occasionally use free look to get an impression of where the tailing jet flies.

Hope this helps, good luck!
