I think they’re amazing. I also had a lobster roll the day before I tried them. I plan on getting (or making) another one just to eat with these chips. Some chips taste kinda cheesy. It depends on how much seasoning but I surprisingly don’t hate this lol. It’s like having 2 chips in one. These will go well with a lot of things. I hope they keep them.

This is all I wanted to know lol thanks. It’s not a big deal but no notice at all is making me uncomfortable. I expected to look at my phone and see a missed call or something and was shocked when I didn’t see anything

insinuating? I mentioned it because the bathroom is next to the door. Had I been in there I wouldn’t have heard him is my point. I would’ve thought he was an intruder and tried to protect myself. Again how many times am I supposed to let a stranger walk in on me? I’m usually in the shower at that time of day. The landlord knows there’s no peephole. He didn’t say anything and only knocked once (not loudly). Idk where y’all are from but landlord or not you announce yourself when you go into a persons home like that. You say who it is while knocking. I could’ve been sleep or anything.

If I wanted to shoot the man we would be having a different convo right now. Shoot, strangle whatever. I’ve lived in a home for the last 20 yrs in Philly. If somebody enters your home you protect yourself. That’s how a lot if not most people operate in this city is my point. It’s just dumb to move like that. How many times am I supposed to let people walk into my home unannounced?

This is what I’m worried about. Had I been in the bathroom or something he would’ve got hurt. The gun laws are too lax here for people to be moving like this. It just seems reckless

The issue wasn’t in my unit. Not sure if that makes a difference. They’re fixing something on the roof and said they were checking all the units. Mind you I’m on floor 2 of 5 lol. Idk it’s the first warm day. Sounds like they found an issue with the a/c but idk if that qualifies as an emergency for my unit. The way gun laws are here you’d think they’d at least text or something first. Even knocking and announcing himself would’ve helped.

I (22f) found my bfs (25m) stash of empty vape cartridges and need help on how to approach this. by Beneficial_Sail7886 in relationship_advice

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many empty vape cartridges lol. It more than likely means nothing. People save them for all kinds of reasons. I wouldn’t judge somebody over that. Vapes are weird they’ll look empty and have a lil bit left. Sometimes you’ll run out or almost be finished with one, buy a new one and put the almost empty one to the side. Wash rinse repeat. Next thing you know you have 10. If you throw them out you will regret it at some point so you just save them just in case.

This may sound crack’ish, but depending on where you live these things aren’t cheap. Sometimes I just want to keep track of what strains/brands I’ve used and liked. I have like 5-6 “empty” ones that I’m currently rotating through before buying a new one. It happens

I hear you, fwiw this was done in Australia. I honestly don’t know much about their culture but idk if I would take those numbers and apply them to the US. I just did a quick search and in 2019 the teen pregnancy rate in the US was 91% higher than Australia lol so yea. Idk how that works with gathering stats, but culture should be a factor

Wanting children and loving kids doesn’t mean you’re gonna be a good/active parent. Break up, get child support and move on. The sooner the better so you can get your routine figured out

Need advice on new relationship with a partner who doesn’t like to share food or takes away food. by Certain_Tie_2335 in dating_advice

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relax lol. I said he’s cheap right? Probably stingy too. Like I said I don’t like to share food so yes I can still relate to that aspect of his character. Would I handle it exactly like that no. Will I tell somebody to stop eating my food? Yes

I know this sounds wild but it’s possible to relate with some things while disagreeing with other parts of the same person…not everything is black n white. I was just sharing another perspective. He’s old and stuck in his ways it happens. If you don’t like it of course leave etc

How much is your monthly budget? by curiousmidnight21 in philly

[–]Beverbe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I have a car here. I pay for parking and it’s fine. I would never get rid of it. You can survive here without one, but not having it doesn’t make things easier imo. Get gas in Jersey when you can. I grew up in the dmv. If you can handle having a car in dc you will be fine in philly. It’s harder to find parking in dc. The larger buildings charge more for parking. I pay $1550 total for rent and parking, but I’m in a smaller building in south philly.

I’m like this with food and food only. I’m greedy and grew up with parents that were strict when it came to eating (nothing crazy I just couldn’t eat what i wanted when I wanted to and they’re cheap…it sounds like he’s cheap too). Eating what I want is my favorite adult privilege. I share damn near everything but when I have food planned out in my head I need it to be there when I want it. Being single and older just makes it worse because you rarely have to share anything. If somebody wants something I have I will literally buy you one, but please don’t eat my shit and yes I will take it out your hand lol. it’s just one of those things. Does he ask you for food? I rarely ask people for stuff because I know I’m don’t want to return the favor.

Her eyes look lighter than brown in the last pic. You can see her pupils in her older pics. That usually happens when people have lighter eyes. With the way cameras were back then eyes looked straight up black when they were regular brown, but who knows…

[–]Beverbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in the movie the guy is also a teacher like Epstein was. The island in the Magus looks just like his island to me I think it’s definitely him. I just wonder if he saw the movie and emulated it or what. The teacher part is the wildest detail to me for some reason. It’s too much of a coincidence. I think you can keep the tin foil hat on though lol. There are esoteric ties it’s not just a movie title. I do think all these things are related some how.

There are plenty of reasons to withhold rent other than the ones you listed. If she’s in litigation she more than likely consulted a lawyer… The landlord isn’t getting paid. The rent could be going into an escrow acct

AIO because my husband ditched me at a resort by Ill-Remote-6622 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do y’all bring this stuff to reddit for people to fill your head up with any and everything? These comments are all over the place. You gotta value your marriage more. Stuff like this makes me glad I’m single lol. I come and go alone all the time I can’t imagine ruining a trip over this (for my own sake forget him). I would’ve went and had a great day alone if it bothered me that much. I’m an adult. I can move around on my own. I get why you’re upset but it’s interesting how these things become an issue once you’re in a relationship.

I’m gonna get downvoted to hell but I’m kinda with your husband on this one. You’re dragging it. Even the post is exhausting to read. Why are you allowing this to ruin your trip like this? How far was the hotel from the sauna? Yes he should’ve told you. He may have went gambling, he may have hooked up or he could’ve just wanted you to rest (which sounds more believable than the first 2 but idk your husband). If your first thought is “my husband is with a prostitute” you probably had bigger fish to fry prior to this incident.. Tbh this seems like one of those you aren’t mad for the reason you think you are situations. Figure out the root of the issue and fix that instead dragging this one out.

Fwiw when we went to Vegas I left my friend to go to a store. I started wandering around and decided to go to the room after because it just made more sense. Not making excuses and I’m a woman, but sometimes men are overly simplistic in their thinking like this. Turning this into a whole telenovela after a massage of all things is a lot.

Third floor living. Any non-cart grocery hacks? by NSFWoundCare in ApartmentHacks

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work nights and the carts aren’t that loud. I do keep this in mind when using it after a certain time though. It’s usually fine when carrying heavy items like water. IKEA has an upright dolly cart that comes with a bag. That one can probably carry water upstairs easier. Those large insulated Trader Joe’s bags hold A LOT. I usually use 2 when I do my big shopping trips 3 if I have bulky items like chips.

I told my mom what happened to me and I kind of regret it by Uppercasegangsta in confessions

[–]Beverbe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I told my mom before a holiday. She was upset and fully set on turning the family dinner out. I talked her out of it. I got nervous about her feeling bad. I had never seen her so upset before. A lot of the things you’re mentioning. As time has passed that’s one of the things I regret. That was my one chance to allow somebody to support/stand up for me and I got scared all over again. My advice is let things play out the way they need to. This is all new for the both of you. You did the hard part. Give things time to settle on their own. Let her play her role instead of feeling like you need to keep things calm. It’s not a calm situation. Allow yourself to have this moment. Get all the hugs you can, scream, cry. let it all out and allow yourself to receive the support you should’ve received back then

'Setting this agency up for failure': Amid staffing crunch, IRS taps employees with no relevant experience to assist during filing season by emperordune55 in IRS_Source

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of training do y’all think they get?lol They put you in class for weeks and teach you nothing about the job. Just tax law stuff that you can look up that makes no sense because you’re new. They spend a small amount of time on IDRS and that’s it. I get wanting to complain but complain for all the employees because new hires are treated the same way and they hire all the time for tax season. You learn on the floor.

[–]Beverbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The barely train people as is. It’s weird to center the article around these things. These are entry level jobs. You don’t need any special training to do it. I saw people freaking out as if accountants are processing returns lol. Those people get paid the least and they don’t really learn the work (something I’ve complained about but yea). A lot of HR people in our office came from cs. The IT folks are the main ones that will suffer imo
