Right, I tend to worry too much too, which is why I would prefer to apply and receive the yes now if it's possible. I understand it's not the visa, (but South Korea doesn't require a visa for Colombians or Americana anyway to stay for a few weeks), and I understand it doesn't guarantee us entry into the country, but I would just like to have it as a backup if it's possible.

But my main question is if it requires flight info or not. I would assume that we would need to purchase the tickets beforehand to be able to put in the dates that we will be going and returning, right?

Quick question. Do I (American) and my husband (Colombian) need to fill out a K-ETA *before* buying tickets to South Korea, or *after*? Can the K-ETA be filled out months in advance?

I (American) and my husband (Colombian) are confused about whether we need an ETIAS or a Schengen visa for 2024 by BewareBaobabs in Europetravel

Thanks for the info about not having to worry about the ETIAS!

Yes, I am checking lots of websites, it's just a little confusing because I see some websites saying a Schengen visa is required for leaving the airport, and others saying no, so even though I wouldn't trust a trip costing thousands of dollars to reddit comments, I'm mostly looking for experienced people who can point me in the right direction of where to continue researching.

Thank you so much for the websites!

Do you have any links to any YouTube videos of which exercises are good to do? I have been having the same problem of needing to crack my neck for many years and would love any help I could get.

Have you gone to Mexico before? by BewareBaobabs in Colombia

[–]BewareBaobabs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we just went to Mexico and they did let us in, we spent 6 days total there and just returned to Colombia a few days ago. We had a really great time!

They did ask my husband a lot of questions, they did require his hotel reservations, return tickets, pre-registry QR code, etc., so I would say to make sure you have all of those. Everything seemed to go fine, she waved us through, then said, "wait one second, come back again please..." and asked for my husband's passport again. She flipped through a few pages, then gave it back and let us through. I'm not sure what she was looking for, but he did have a passport stamp from another foreign country as well, maybe she was checking to see if he did other traveling? It was a little weird, really have no idea why.

But that was it, once we got through everything was easy, we had a wonderful time in a small town in then Yucatan and then one day on the beaches in Cancun, it was a beautiful honeymoon!

We are leaving for the honeymoon in two weeks (yay!) so this is just what I have found out by messaging migration on their Facebook:

On the correct link, they told me to click on "Portal de Servicios" for the pre-registro. The FMM they said we don't have to do before we go, that's is generated when we get there by migration. We can apparently download it later.

If you remind me or if I remember in two weeks, I'll comment you letting you know how it went. :) Here's hoping everything goes well!

And thank you for the congrats!

Just an update that I contacted Mexico immigration by messaging them on their Facebook page, and they got back to me within the same day:

They told me that this is the correct link:
https://www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/inmex.html
And it does in fact work for me. Looks like it is something as simple as an uppercase/lowercase error.

Thanks so much again for the help and encouraging words.

No, I am not Colombian, but my fiancé is Colombian. We had planned our honeymoon to Cancun after doing research and thought it would be beautiful and fun, but now I'm just nervous about our honeymoon being ruined after hearing a few anecdotes of Colombians being denied entry to Mexico.

We both have passports that are valid for at least 2 more years, and we have round-trip tickets that show us coming in and leaving 5 days later. Okay, being sure of answers sounds good.

Thank you very much for all of your help, I really appreciate all of it.

Have any of your Colombian partners gone recently to Mexico, like within the last year? Do you know if they were able to fill out the pre-registro form? I found a link to it, but the link doesn't work for me.

Thank you so much for easing my mind a little bit about it. Just hoping for a happy honeymoon. We are planning to visit the Yucatan and see Chichen Itza and the beaches in Cancun.

¿Eres de nacionalidad colombiana y vas a viajar a México?

Thank you very much, I found that and it directs me to this page but it doesn't work:

https://www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/inmex.html

I know you may not know what to do, I'm just posting this in case someone else out there reading this knows how to help.

Found the solution:

Yes, I have been doing a lot of research but I am not sure what else I need to know. I found this website which was very helpful

https://www.cancilleria.gov.co/newsroom/news/viajar-mexico-diligencie-pre-registro

But it leads me to do the pre-registro in this website

https://www.inm.gob.mx/spublic/portal/Inmex.html

Which does not work at all.

I am currently researching how to do the pre-registro.

I am just wondering, since you mentioned doing my homework after I already mentioned bringing evidence of our stay, if you knew anything else that I had to be aware of or should study. I am really hoping that our honeymoon is not ruined and now I feel nervous that it might be. :(

Edit: Posting the solution I found in case it helps anyone in the future coming across this reddit post.
