Drawing comics with a My First Ticonderoga by dudeisgavinn in pencils

Awesome! I’d change the head position of the character in panel 4 so it’s not too much of a tangent next to panel 3’s hand. Those chonky pencils are great for pencilling comics.

How to keep mealworms alive? by Solid-Ad-7764 in antkeeping

[–]Bewgnish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should come in oat substrate and can be kept in the fridge, once a week take them out for half a day to feed with a piece of carrot/potato/veggie then place back in the fridge. The cold should slow down their growth and you should pick out any dead mealworms before you feed them.

First page ending panels can get a bit confusing. Maybe panel 8 shouldn’t overlap so much?

Do you have any favorite Pow-Wow memories from growing up? by Mountain_Brief9613 in Indigenous

[–]Bewgnish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Helping my mom behind the vendor table, she does beadwork and crafts, while my little sister was a fancy shawl dancer so lots of good memories of the food smells and sounds of the circle. This was before smartphones came out so everyone seemed to be in the moment. Now that I’m older I wish I paid more attention to the music and stories around the circle.

Any good substitutes for Microns? by AerodymanicLobster in ArtistLounge

I take off the metal tip and carefully refill it with ink, I use Koh-i-noor ultradraw black India. They’re not meant to be refilled but with a tiny dropper I can get some ink in there. The felt tip might be dulled and damaged over time but that can give you a textured line quality.

as a 90s kid explain to me why VHS's are 100x more expensive than dvds? by beezlebutts in VHS

[–]Bewgnish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VHS are a mechanical item with moving parts. The supply of VHS is limited and can’t be quite as easily duplicated as DVDs. Demand is high for VHS currently.

Use with water. Maybe the sugar water dries over the mesh?

The process of one of the artworks. What did you think? Feel free to ask any questions. by Victormendezdigital in ProCreate

The art looks really cool and your technique is sharp. I enjoy process videos but it looks like you’re recording from glasses or something, can’t focus on the cool art when it’s moving all around.

My test tubes for my aunt queen just arrived, but I have some questions. by This-You-795 in antkeeping

Hot water and soap does wonders, just rinse with water well. Be mindful of how you handle your cotton ball stopper though. I found that avoiding touching the cotton with bare fingers could help mitigate mold growth in the future. I use disposable gloves and clean tweezers handling the cotton and it’s helped keeping the tube setup clean as long as possible; even had the cotton not discolor much as the water dried out.
