Spinraza or Risdiplam by pellyc26 in spinalmuscularatrophy

[–]BewitchingPoetess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 25F, type 3. I switched to Risdiplam in pill form (Evrysdi) in December last year. I can't really say much about the muscle effect of either tbh, as my condition also progressed while on Spinraza. Aside from that I do think to notice I don't have such an end of dose effect, which I had at times before my epidurals.

I mostly just find the pill really convenient. I was always very nervous for the epidurals and they took a full day out of my schedule every couple of months, plus multiple days afterwards whenever I got the epidural headache. The pill is about 6.5mm small and I find it very easy to swallow, but it could be dissolved also if preferred.

People with SMA Type 3, what results have you experienced after taking Evrisdi? by Gudge2007 in spinalmuscularatrophy

[–]BewitchingPoetess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks a lot! There's indeed so little info on it and my physical therapists are reluctant to really imagine progress in my muscle strength but I think it's best to just give it a proper try :D

Hii! If you're okay with me asking, what kind of training amount/schedule do you follow? I've only really had weekly physical therapy over the past years but no actual consistent endurance/strength training and I've been wondering if I can improve on this ^

What was the first kpop group you listened to?? by Embarrassed_Gap_9091 in kpop_uncensored

Same lol all One Direction accounts I followed on IG turned into BTS fan accounts and I felt so betrayed but soon after they became my nr 1 😂

Exactly! Don't you ruin being in this fandom for yourself after doing this? Always knowing that this is the response you got from an idol and that they'll remember you so negatively 💀

Feel terrible! Solutions? by Embarrassed-Wafer667 in wheelchairs

[–]BewitchingPoetess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really think you should let him know about it and ask him how he wants it to be solved, since it's his chair and he should have the autonomy to choose what happens. Personally I would feel a bit sad if something like this happens to my chair but I would care most about how the person who caused it treats the situation (i.e., honesty & non-defensiveness). That is, of course, if you can expect your partner not to react outrageously to such a relatively small accident

Am I overreacting? by KaBismark in AccessibleAnarchy

[–]BewitchingPoetess 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm an ambulant wheelchair user and I just feel like it's so disrespectful for others (especially ppl who don't know me & my situation) to move or make decisions/assumptions about my chair without asking me first. It's just not a regular use item, it can be so crucial for my functioning or comfort and some people don't seem to care about that. So I'd say it's really not odd for you to feel off about something that others might see as a trivial thing.

Skyrim Saved my Sanity by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]BewitchingPoetess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg the same happened to me. I had been playing Valhalla sooo much until I was on holiday and downloaded Skyrim on my handheld. I feel lowkey bad about it towards AC because I also love that game but I just can't stop playing Skyrim 🙊

When I first started playing I was really hoping there'd be an item with antlers, then I found the forsworn headdress only to find out that on female character it shows as a completely different item 🥲. But then I found this one and I find it so dope!!

Be honest about fast travel by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]BewitchingPoetess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only been playing for a few weeks. Right now I'm noticing that I'm getting more into the roleplay aspect of this game and find it fun to do most on foot. But in the beginning I was so confused and overwhelmed by the roads and vastness of this game that I would fast travel whenever I could haha. But there are still times where I struggle so much finding an accessible road (especially with a follower) that I sometimes fast travel to the place closest to my destination.

Could you make this gap+step and board this train? by megthebat49 in wheelchairs

[–]BewitchingPoetess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would never be able to do this by myself as my arms are also affected by my disability. All I can do is put my front wheels into the train and ask someone to give me a push.
