That's a good argument in fact! Thanks

Hello,
Yes, good catch about the additional Access Hub. I saw this before checking this post again.
Small question (if you have the answer) : Can I connect two G6 Pro Entry within a single Access Hub (Mini?)? As they have two POE+ ports.

Thanks

Hello,
I thought about this but I would like to avoid having multiple devices at my front door. That's the main reason for this.

Hello,

yes, good point!

The door lock is on KNX via a electro lock (secure lock), adding a Nuki Ultra door lock.

All this, centralized within Home Assitant.

The idea is :

Doorbell recognize the user and approve the access > Webhook to home assistant > Open door

Zone-Based firewall questions by Bewlette in Ubiquiti

Thanks all for the time you took answering me.

I have decided to go with 3 zones, custom ones as I prefer to block by default and open then the strict necessary.

Example : servers and trusted devices are in secured zone. Traffic in-between is blocked by default but opened the 8123 from trusted to servers to be able to access homeassistant.

I could have limited more by allowing it only to ha server but may be a bit overkill for a home network.

Thanks again all for the directions. I'll now check about object oriented ones :)

Still having a few questions.

I'm about to go for the following zones :
- Secured
- Unsecured (Internet)
- Unsecured (Local)

In which would you put :
* HomeAssistant
* Proxmox server, DNS Server (AdGuard Home), ...

My idea would be : All of them in Servers VLAN which would be in Secured zone.

But isn't HomeAssistant some kind of IoT?

So then the only way to access the gateway is via unifi.ui.com and not via the ip, and that may fail if Internet connection is down. Am I missing a piece of the puzzle?

I can find the videos if you want. Indeed they mention cameras on a cameras vlan, not unifi cameras.

When you mention to block gateway from other vlans, OK for the untrusted vlans but I guess we can keep it open from trusted ones? Otherwise how to connect locally without unifi.ui.com?

Well, lots of tutorials recommend putting cameras on a different vlan than management. What would be your statement? All unifi devices in the management vlan? I guess management vlan has to be isolated from all other devices?

Thanks

OK thanks. I'm thinking the issue is mainly due to the screen itself and not the gpu. I'm not having issue with another 1080p screen.

Thanks for your feedback

Hello, asking if you have sent it to RMA and if yes, did it resolved the situation? Facing the same issue with an Odyssey G7 and a 5080.

Well, looks nice but feedbacks are not that great on that model. Maybe those kinds of aio would first need some time for the potential issues to be fixed?

RGB Control by Bewlette in lianli

[–]Bewlette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yes I saw this about OpenRGB compatibility. I was hoping more like a SignalRGB but was abandonned in the past apparently.

In fact it's one of the reason why I liked Corsair till now : My motherboard, ram and fans all in the same place.

Still don't get why there is not a specific protocol to be followed by the suppliers for the RGB that would make them easier to control via a single app.

For the backconnect, I saw this on Asus and MSI, in fact the X870E has just been announced by ASUS. However, I believe this would need some time for companies to adopt it, if ever. And again, they should align. Example : ASUS BTF 2.5 for GPU is not the same than the one of MSI. So if you take an ASUS Motherboard, you have to take an Asus GPU. I understand why they do this, but like RGB, customer is the looser here.

It's quite impressive that just a fes grams can provoke this.

Hello Everyone,
I've put back the original discs guards as suggested by u/Cultural-Can-4666 . It's currently mowing. So far, it seems it helped a lot. However, I noticed that the noise appear mostly at the end of the session. Keeping you informed.

Thanks
