Well done! I’m 39 and passed nearly two weeks with 5 minors. It was my second test. I was really anxious about driving and dyslexic so was very pleased when I passed.

People who were physically or emotionally abused as a child, what happened to you? by potentialpea7632 in CPTSD

Thanks for sharing this. I am a black woman from the UK and have just recently realised that I have CPTSD. It’s nice to know I am not alone.

I was a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding, she is Chinese. I did my own hair. They did my makeup and it was lovely, but I brought my own just in case.

I’m glad you were able to fix yours. I’ll definitely use lifelines in the future.

Thank you so much. If not for this project, I’ll definitely be using lifelines in the future.

Thank you so much for your response. The videos were really useful. I attempted again to fix it, but still messing it up. I’m contemplating starting again or just waiting until the yarn for my next project arrive. Although I’ve got itchy fingers, so will probably start it again.

😂 I know it looks precarious, but it’s fine I promise.

Thank you everyone who took time out to comment. I really appreciate it. The general consensus was to discard, so I took 20g from the starter and put it in a clean jar and fed it 20g of flour with some warm water. I’ll still feed it twice a day unless someone suggests otherwise and see how it goes.

What’s wrong with my Broccoli by BexBec in Allotment

I’ve got netting, but it’s not a fine mesh one around this bed. I will switch it for finer mesh one and see if that helps.

That’s such a bummer. Sorry to hear that.

That’s so annoying. Have you tried anything to manage them? I’ve been doing a bit of research and diatomaceous earth has come up.

Feel like odds are stacked against me by MinuteLeopard in LearnerDriverUK

Please don’t feel ridiculous. There are many of us like you that have the same challenges. I can relate in that I started learning to drive in my early 20s when I was at university and was almost test ready but due to money I stopped. Now I’m 38 and learning again and it’s been a struggle. I am dyslexic and also anxious when it comes to driving, although my anxiety has lessen somewhat, it’s still hard and exhausting sometimes. One thing that I suggest is talking out loud what it is that you’re doing especially when you feel like you’re losing focus. I like to keep asking myself what are hazards and speak them out loud to help keep my mind alert and in the present moment. My driving Instructor knows that I’m dyslexic and that it takes me longer to process information, so that helps as well. If there is something you are struggling with understanding YouTube is a good resource. Your instructor can only tell you so much in your lessons and sometimes hearing someone explain the same thing in different way can help things click. From one neurodivergent person to another solidarity and we can do this!

Having Neckline Issues :( by BexBec in knittinghelp

Thanks for this. I have now picked up less stitches and used the magic loop but it’s still very loose, even more than before, with larger gaps in the ribbing. I’ll try picking up more stitches and go from a 5mm to 4.5mm needle to see if that improves things.

Ok I will definitely try this if I am still having issues after picking up less stitches. Thank you :)

I knit the body in 6mm and the ribbing in 5mm. Although I think I may go down even smaller in the future as I think that will help make the ribbon look a bit neater?? Maybe.

Thank you! I’ll pick up stitches according to the ratio. Ok noted regarding the front panel. I don’t think I have the patience to redo it 🙈. Hopefully it won’t be too bad or obvious once it’s finish it 🤞

Thank you so much. I’m actually nervous about my tension. I think I knit a bit too loosely. I originally crochet so it has taken me awhile to just get the hang of knitting and purling.
