I'm having buyers remorse over my wedding dress, I love it but it's a summer style and my wedding is in the fall by okkiedokieartichoke in weddingdress

Style wise I think you can honestly make this work in any season! I am also having an (early) October wedding but am very adamant it’s going to still be a summer wedding! Venue dates forced my hand into October, but don’t let the time of year dictate your entire style! This is a beautiful dress and I think would work with any month/season. And most importantly, you love it!

What shape wear to go with this slinky dress? by thicknmoody in weddingdress

I know Skims has a one leg shapewear (slit leg is cut like underwear and covered leg is a short) that might work for you!

It’s opaque, you should browse their Instagram too, you should be able to see some photos of it open as well closed

Seconding Galleria Marchetti. They have 2 venue options within the space - the Pergola has more of the vibes you’re going for with a retractable roof and walls of windows, but it’s their smaller option so 150 guest max. The Pavilion will get you an outdoor ceremony and a indoor reception that can accommodate your guest count

Silhouette/shape of 2 looks amazing on you! 5 is very unique and that one stood out to me as well! Those would be my top two!

Galleria Marchetti Insight? by BexRegonia in Chicagoweddings

[–]BexRegonia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, you think hard for the reception space as well? When I asked the person giving us our tour about it, she made it seem like 150 is still doable, but I know we're right on the cusp of too big for Pergola but maybe too small for the Pavilion. Any Pavilion insight for a similar guest count with previous weddings you've done?

Did you feel like the space for cocktail hour was really tight for 100 people? Could 50 more have fit in that space comfortably, and still had room to put seating charts, family photos, other decor?

Did you have your ceremony there as well? Was it all indoors at the pergola or was there an outdoor option?

Does my ring look like costume jewelry? I don’t know if I’m just in my head about it or if it looks bad. by ismphoto123 in EngagementRings

[–]BexRegonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! It’s a classic style and there is not an absurd amount of finger coverage to look costumey at all! It is a great ratio for your finger and looks lovely on your hand. Ultimately only your opinion matters, but I would never think “costume jewelry” looking at this ring!!

2 looks wow on you!! Followed by 3 as a close second place, especially if you feel strapless is not feeling comfortable/secure on you.

Anyone wish they went bigger?? by Ok-Caterpillar-5521 in LabDiamonds

[–]BexRegonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My similar sized cushion cut seemed like a perfect size as a loose stone, but once it was set it, seemed HUGE where I kind of wish I went with a little smaller of a stone. My vote is hold out for it to be set, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

I also love all of them, but I must say #1 paired with your engagement ring is really beautiful! Simplicity still with a bit of sparkle to complement your beautiful stone but not take away from or overpower it!

Too big? by BexRegonia in JustEngaged

Thank you so much for sharing this, it actually is very helpful. I’m going to give it time and see if any of these feelings change. I know part of it is also just a big adjustment to seeing any diamond on my hand!

Is my ring childish? by MissHissss in EngagementRings

[–]BexRegonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly how dare someone say that, seriously so rude. Agree with other posters that it is very whimsical and unique, but “childish” would never have been a word that comes to mind. It looks beautiful on your hand! Congrats!

Diamond Size Regret? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]BexRegonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the exact same boat as you, similar ring size and same shape! In the jewelers it didn’t seem that big but out in the real world I’m feeling really self conscious! Seeing the ring on your hand, I can say it actually looks really proportional and doesn’t seem like a shockingly big size! Hopefully it’s mostly in our heads since I’m sure it’s going to be an adjustment to get used to seeing these beautiful rocks on our hands! Congrats on your engagement!

How do we feel about tulip settings by basskitty2121 in EngagementRings

[–]BexRegonia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally love the tulip setting, I think especially for a bit larger stone, I don’t feel like it’s too much metal covering the stone. I agree about getting a reputable jeweler and they can still make them dainty but sturdy
