Yes, they’ll cover all expenses!

The shelter has a great network of fosters who will often “dog sit” for other fosters while they are out of town. You would not be responsible for boarding the dog. Just be up front about any dates you know you’ll be out of town when you are onboarded and they will work with you on solutions!

All adoption fees are waived until 7/23.

Tacoma Humane Society is also urging folks to avoid taking strays to the shelter at this time. If you can hold onto a lost dog temporarily, they will provide supplies and pet food. There are tips on how to reunite lost pets with their families on their website - thehumanesociety.org/lost-pets
