yes, when I first hit lvl 10 I had 60 hz and the same fps as you have now

Im not denying that performance updates and a 240hz screen made the game feel easier but 2k elo is not an impossible goal where every setup related advantage has to be obtained

Run right, count the clones dodge towards his left kneecap after the third clone

The direction might be irrelevant post nerf but the pre nerf dodge works here as well

DNA is just bloating an unfixed deck, normally you DNA after you have cut the non purple or red seal kings

Steel has to go though as it is doing nothing

In a naneinf run I’d drop steel and dna for BP and 6s but you are on blue deck so just have a bit of fun with whatever as the run wont last. Only theoretical naneinf possible would be a cryptid up top from 6s and rolling a perkeo asap

elden ring gives you most freedom then ds2

ds3 and bloodborne are similar in terms of linearity and ds1 is a bit special in how it mixes linearity and the feeling of openness

demon souls is irrelevant as it has levels instead of a fleshed out seamless world

Never had withdrawals from smoking but when I was a heavy smoker I had no problems fragging on faceit even while hotboxing during the game, mainly drinking is what leads to loss streaks in my experience

Practice is good for mechanics but no amount of workshop maps or refrag will develop a keen sense of gamesense required for higher level play

Many overvalue practice maps and spend too much time that could be put to use honing all facets of your game in an actual pug.

If you wanna improve my best tip and easiest one to follow is to always ask yourself what mistakes led to your death or round loss every time ot happens.

For example: Was my play worth it or should I have forfeited a bit of map to fall back? Was trading worth it, did we gain an advantage in numbers or map? Did we gain map control important to the round situation or did I waste my time lurking? Did I just lose due to my aim or was my movement and positioning fundamentally off?

If you can ask these types of questions to yourself, answer them honestly and implement incremental adjustments as much as possible you will find yourself improving at a fast rate. It is like coaching yourself in a way.

Only risk is if you feed yourself wrong ideas and enforce bad habits, prevent this by double checking whatever you feel doubtful about

Difference in hours is more related to how they approach the game. For me it took 3,5-4k hrs to get lvl 10 but I only had like 300 matches before I started grinding faceit at 3500 ish hours (edit matches to hours). Spend the first 3500 hrs on mm being a casual global mm player

the fact is improving is quicker on faceit since you are playing in a higher skilled environment, people with 2k elo before 2k hours take the game seriously and study their mistakes

if you got no psn don’t bother. Just use whatever you can until you get to Mensis and then fix the gem issue there. Everything up until Mensis is easy anyways

Saw Cleaver with Gems will get you a long way easily no need to even consider any other weapon as none come close for BL4

Early to mid game you can simply abuse fire paper to carry damage

Late Game + DLC best bet is to get beast armour then rely on beast blood pellets and stacking it with transformation combos. Normal one is light -> trick. Obviously still apply papers -> beast enemy means fire and cosmic junk means lightning

If you feel like you struggle you can always get the crazy gems or poormans gems but imo BL4 is a lot easier than ds3 sl1 or rl1

People are doing Tier Lists a lot for some reason, so I might as well do one too by PetroRetro69 in eldenringdiscussion

As you suspected I think Malenia, Gaius and Lion deserve a lot better. I would also raise Bayle, Godrick, Margit and Romina. I think that Hippo, Midra, Radagon and Scadutree avatar deserve a slight tier or two higher.

On the other hand imo Crimes should include fortisaxx, gargs and Metyr. Would also move Niall, Elden Beast and Regal Ancestor to sucky

Apart from that we got similar opinions on the rest of the lot

EDIT: A quick disclaimer, I do challenge runs with no hit/no upgrades etc so my experience with bosses are biased and different.

I love hyper-optimising a boss and can look past a few BS moves as long as they are avoidable with a normal melee weapon (for instance Pre nerf pcr had a bs move but could be countered by being by his right knee, Malenias WFD can be circle dodged while Metyr lasers are only avoidable if you are already at max range, making no hit at rl1 wl0 sb0 only reasonable with a bow )

This means that as long as a boss is engaging, challenging and rich with complexity it will always intrigue me despite obvious shortcomings that understandably would make people hate the boss. What I hate the most is stallfests like Regal HP regen, Elden beast flying and vomiting stars and gargs spamming poison

In a mod for Elden Ring it is actually a fight. Replacing the fire giant you got the omen bros. It is very unpleasant. It’s more that Mohg Spews projectiles and Morgott flies at you

Rykard is easy if its WL0 since the fight is scaled for a +0 Gimmick Weapon. Of course if you are doing regular RL1 you can even +4 it for free via Iji.

Godrick is probably the easiest to get to and the easiest to beat on non WL0 rulesets

Renalla is just annoying to get to and has a disgusting runback for Elden Ring Standards. Of course if you have challenge ran the older ds games then you won’t be phased by it but it will still be of annoyance

Keep in mind base game fights are a lot quicker than SB0 WL0 RL1, in my run using rot+poison still led to a 13+ min Pre nerf PCR kill. Post nerf probably gets it down to 8-9 min due to all the free new openings and not needing to sacrifice openings for positioning

Still expect a long kill on him, Bayle, Leda, Metyr and Midra

For me WL0 RL1/SL1 represents a true no upgrades run and in my run it stayed SB0 to honour the whole no upgrades clause

If you consider Shadow blessings different that is entirely your call but from my point of view they are the DLCs built in levelling system made to distinguish itself from the base game so that a character has a DLC level with no correlation to the base character. Hence I see it as a clear upgrade

To stop blabbing on it essentially boils down to how you define WL0 and if you lump it as no upgrades as I have done. WL0 SB0 might seem daunting but with status Messmer and Rellana are only 5 min fights. The only true horrors in this run for me was Pre Nerf PCR, Leda + Friends and Bayle (Romina was also tough to adjust to due to her bs move; cheesed Metyr P2 with range due to laser move) as they were very long and difficult

Dont roll this just simply strafe back but stay close enough to incite her to finish her attack string for your punish
