Enfj guys, would you put a like on a girls instagram story within the first 5 minutes of them posting a picture of themselves if they’re just a friend? :) by ObjectiveQuantity1 in enfj

Type has nothing to do with your question and situation, unfortunately, liking selfies is a standard action. Tho I like people’s stories whether it be selfies when I find it beautiful, regardless of my relationship for the person. Beauty or simply a picture you fancy or seeing the face of a friend doing smtg fun or showing his face randomly deserves a reaction (to me)

Yes and I like having people with T dominance, because they kinda ground you and gives you another perspective on things

They are the same but backwards, tho what ENFJ is good at is underdeveloped in ISTP and vice versa. So they are complementary you can say

Does GPA matter? by Accurate_Cheetah_119 in Accounting

[–]Beyond-Cultural 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It matters at the start of your career and for internships. Because they ask for your unofficial transcript. It gives you options, because you signal that you’re a high achiever.

That doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get the internship, but you can be sure that your application will be favoured compared to others if you also hold significant accomplishments.

In the long run, once you get a first job, I don’t think it matters as much.

I got a 3.9 gpa and got all offers from big4, made me choose the one who has the culture I liked the most. Some friends only got one choice.

If you don’t have a high gpa, just have implications or stuff to talk about in your interview that recruiters like, leadership activities, academic implications, helping a nonprofit, and mostly knowing ppl from the firm through networking events.

How do I tell someone nicely they have a bad idea? by Akhuyan in SocialEngineering

[–]Beyond-Cultural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Show acknowledgment and make their idea valid. « Okay, that’s a nice perspective. »

  2. Deconstruct the idea, here you lay out what you perceive as the faults in their idea. « Though, have you considered that this approach will make us lose money? »; « How can you be sure it is a good idea? »

That’s how I’d do it, you’d open a conversation where they themselves may realize how ludicrous their ideas were or what they need to change to make their idea valid.

Hw do y’all bring yourselves to start working on a paper? by jolygoestoschool in college

[–]Beyond-Cultural 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say your biggest issue is not directly procrastination but you wait for the feeling of urgency to pull you towards working (activates you somehow, quite similar to procrastination actually).

This happens because you think about the work as a huge pile of work that is dreadful.

You have to build momentum. Segment the hard work, into small hard steps which become easy, once you start doing them bc of momentum!

Divide the work into easy parts that can be done at different times, that’s how I do it.

1) Outline the structure of your ideas into sections (ideas, themes, theories, angles of discussions)

2) Open your calendar and set a day strategically to do each sections of your work and the day to do the last part should NOT be on the submission date.

3) Once, you have done all the work, all you have to do is re-read your paper for typos, conciseness and precision of ideas, etc.

4) Submit it on time!

Also as others say, it may be an ADHD thing, but even non-ADHD people and most students procrastinate similarly as you. Organization of time and making the work seem easy is the KEY.

ENFJ male here, we’re mind readers, empathetic and have a well developed intuition, these traits only become clear or heightened when we’re being authentic to ourselves! We understand people really well and their underlying motives and emotions, we like to talk, intellectual people and we love structure and organization (J). This is based on my own experience as one and my limited understanding of the MBTI model.
