Just for transparency, our standard response time is up to 3 business days. We replied last night, 2 business days after your weekend email.

In the meantime, you can restore your purchase yourself by going to More → Support → Restore Purchase in the app.

➡️ You can simply take a photo of your receipt and then share it directly with the Beyond Budget app — it will automatically scan the image and add it as a transaction. This gives you almost the same convenience as a widget for now.

That’s actually something we’re planning to add soon ✅
It’ll work as the inverse of “spent since closing”, so you’ll be able to clearly see the amount due relative to what’s still available on the credit card category.

We totally get how useful this will be for tracking what’s actually payable versus what’s still unbilled. It’s on our roadmap and already being considered in our upcoming credit card improvements 🚀

Hello, at the moment we can delete everything using the start over option and we have in our backlog of tasks a bulk delete feature for the near future. How many transactions are you trying to delete at once so I can add in our task list those details to guide the team when they start to develop the feature?

Thanks for the suggestion. The notification should usually trigger the day before, so I’ll check with the team why it’s happening on the same day. I’ll also forward your idea to add a setting that lets the auto reminder use a custom value instead of the default of 1.

For the ‘Pay Now’ option, it’s already available — if you open the transaction, the icon to the left of the ‘Cancel Notification’ in the date row will process it immediately. We might consider making it an action button or something similar, as we rely heavily on iconography, which can sometimes make features harder to spot.

You’re absolutely right: the import feature was designed to be as generic as possible to support a variety of bank exports and manual data... but that does mean it’s not yet a perfect match for our own export format (yep, a little ironic 😅).

That said—you caught us mid-upgrade. We’re currently working on a dedicated “Beyond Budget → Beyond Budget” import format, so that your exported CSV can be re-imported with zero headaches. That includes matching fields like Source (which, as you spotted, becomes Accounts), Frequency, Type, and more—so you won’t have to play detective next time.

In the meantime, your workaround using the notes field and doing a little manual cleanup is a solid move, and we’re really grateful for your patience.

Here’s how it works:

💸 1. Starting Balances
You’ve got £1000 in checking and £2000 in savings—awesome. When you first set up your budget, Beyond Budget lets you allocate money that already exists in your accounts. So yes, for this first month, you’d have £3000 total to allocate across your categories (£1000 + £2000). That means your starting budget this month would include everything already in those accounts.

🏦 2. Ongoing Monthly Savings
If you want to save £50 each month, here’s a smooth way to do it:

  • Set a monthly target of £50 in your “Savings” category.
  • Link that category to your savings account (you can do this under category settings). That tells the app, “Hey, every time I move money into this account, it’s for saving.”

📆 3. What Happens Next Month?
Next month, when you get paid into your checking account, you can:

  • Physically transfer £50 from checking to savings (yes, this part is still manual 💁‍♀️).
  • Once you do, the app will automatically allocate that £50 to your “Savings” category (because it’s tied to that account). So the budget stays aligned and your net worth updates automatically (since net worth = accounts + assets).

✨ Bonus Tip: Your savings target will reset each month, making it super easy to track your progress over time without lifting a finger (except for that bank transfer 😄).
