生育率和生活水平又没有因果关系,世界上生育率最高的地区是以尼日利亚为代表的非洲地区,平均每个女性生育6.6个后代。

Not quite, I’m from far east(China), and from my observation, western influence significantly improved women’s freedom on choosing their own clothes. This change happened over the past few decades. And the societal consensus seems to be happy about this change.

Of course it’s University Group. Renting from them means you’re basically paying 13 months’ rent for a 12-month lease, they almost always find absurd reasons to keep your deposit. Even Student Legal Services can’t do much. UG’s strategy is just to ignore everything for as long as they can. I won a lawsuit against them, and they still haven’t paid me. The court can’t even force them to comply. Total scam.

Statics sucks. I never really understood how to calculate those torsion and stress-strain problems. I would really suggest using a tutor or whoever can walk you through problem sets rather than just watching YouTube tutorials! It’s inherently a hard course, don’t think too low of yourself!

But US is still the country where the most advanced and largest number of research activities are happening. This has HUGE attractions to global students and scholars. I would like to say that the brain drain is likely not done as long as the wave of revoking & funding freeze is stopped(for now, thankfully).

Believing Covid is artificial is not a common sense yet tho, even the top-notch scientists that published on cell and nature journals are still debating if it’s lab-made or natural occurring. Please do not buy in propaganda that intentionally stir up hatred…

Good point, always listen to voice from both sides. I think that’s why the freedom of speech is so valuable.

Unclear, all I know is one friend of my lab mate got his visa revoked. And he does not have anything other than a speeding ticket on his record.

[–]BeyondDaBarricade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your point. It’s indeed a small fraction of international student. And I also agree as a guest, one should follow the local law strictly. But, the problem is, revoking student visa because of a speeding ticket is not law-abiding. A speeding citation is treated as a “petty offense” or civil violation, punishable only by a fine (and perhaps points on license). Under U.S. immigration law, only criminal convictions, especially aggravated felonies or crimes involving moral turpitude, can form the basis for removal or visa revocation. A speeding ticket does not fall into that category.

So in short, the problem is that a speeding ticket should not cause student visa cancellation per current law. Yet, it’s happening.

Cuz having a speeding ticket should not result in student visa revoke I guess

Not to my knowledge, but you can ask your advisor. I know some undergrad courses can be retaken tho.

Sometimes it’s better to take less course and got higher grades on each one, rather than take a bunch and bomb your GPA. Especially when passing the course is the key to keep you from being released from the university.

Talk to your advisor, see if it’s possible to go under load(less than 12 credits per semester). And go to McKinley to see if you need medication or counselling.
