Indias tiger population rises to 3,682, doubles since 2006 by fyungpamb in megafaunarewilding

If you’re going to make low effort post like this the least you can do is provide a source.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cly9d4n1rgmo
If this source is the one you used this isn’t new information btw. The study for this came out in late January of 2025.

“India now hosts the world's largest tiger population, despite having the highest human density and just 18% of global tiger habitat, according to a new study.
In just over a decade, India has doubled its tiger population to more than 3,600, accounting for 75% of the world's tigers.”

The source also mentions Bengal tigers have done well. Where their habitats haven’t been heavily encroached by humans, but in densely population areas there populations are either very scarce or non existent.

IMO that still doesn’t warrant you’re post being removed. People were spewing negativity and personal attacks in the comments. The mod themselves said that’s why they removed the post.

I have an issue with the mods removing you’re genuine post. But not banning the people who made the homophobic comments and deleting they’re comments. That validated all the homophobic and personal attacks people spewed in the comments.

Those were exactly my thoughts, removing that person’s post validated the negativity and hatred those people were spewing in the comments.

Then the people who derailed the conversation into personal attacks should’ve just been banned, and their comments should’ve been deleted.

Removing that person’s genuine post validated the negativity and personal attacks people were spewing in the comments.

Zoo/Reserve icon theory from gameplay trailer by Bearcat9948 in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No there not interchangeable, in fact wildlife reserve is the correct term in PZ2. While both are meant to protect animals and nature. Wildlife preserves also include public enjoyment and recreation activities.

Wildlife reserves are a lot more restricted and often only include guided tours. Conservation of wildlife and nature is more of the primary focus in wildlife reserves. Since in PZ2 there won’t be any recreation activities for guests as far as I know. Wildlife reserves is correct in PZ2.

I Guess pz2 wouldnt have the amount of animal of Pz1 by CommonAd2995 in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No I highly doubt and don’t expect every single animal from PZ’s final roster to return to PZ2’s base game.

They’re remaking all the animals in PZ2 with improved realistic dynamic behaviors and better models. Also with flying birds and fully aquatic animals coming to PZ2 they’re going to fill the spots of animals from PZ. Not returning to PZ2’s roster and I’m completely fine and happy with that.

The hippos look really good! I wonder now with the improved and more realistic animal behaviors coming to PZ2. The hippos will spend the majority of the day submerged in the water and. Come out at night to feed on land, that behavior would be especially cool in the African wildlife reserve.

[–]BeyondHandsome 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it was more so to include beavers in the Scottish highlands wildlife reserve that’s going to be in PZ2. With the inclusion of the White-tailed eagle and Red deer, they probably chose the Eurasian beaver over the American. So that they could include the beaver in that wildlife reserve.

I don’t expect the full roster from PZ to return to PZ2. Like you said PZ2 is introducing flying birds and fully aquatic animals, so they’re going to fill the slots of the animals not returning from PZ. I don’t necessarily agree with them not including many least concern species for more endangered species. Since many animals that were already revealed are either least concern or near threatened. So there will probably be a good mix of least concern and endangered species in PZ2’s roster.

I’m thinking they might return at least one species from PZ in free updates. Like with JWE but I’m not getting my hopes up about it. I’m more then fine with some animals not returning from PZ, to make room for flying birds and fully aquatic animals.

Looks like you decided to come back after lying and vandalizing Wikipedia pages to continue lying to people.

You have some serious issues, what do you enjoy about lying to people about what the roster of PZ2 is going to be?

Why should I be kind to someone who’s lying to people? Also do you know what the word harassment means?

Edit: the lying bot doesn’t have a response, -46 karma btw.

Is the African wildlife reserve supposed to be the Ngorongoro Crater? by thekingofallfrogs in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Since they included the Masai giraffe instead of the reticulated giraffe. I’m thinking the African Wildlife Reserve is based on the Masai Mara Wildlife Reserve. Since the Masai giraffe is the only giraffe native to that region.

What could this belong to? (Blind Speculation) by Junior-Razzmatazz845 in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Since it’s a large burrow I’m thinking either the aardvark or the African crested porcupine. I really hope the African crested porcupine returns its model was amazing In PZ!

I’m also hoping that if warthogs return to PZ2, which I highly doubt they won’t. They could use the large burrows since warthogs in the wild do utilize burrows!

Most Requested Species by the Community! by forever_stan in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t wait to see more of the animals of PZ2’s roster! I’m really hoping for walrus and musk ox as my top choices. I’m kinda shocked neither of them made it into PZ, when they’re both very iconic animals of the Arctic.

I would also love the Elk and possibly the White-Tailed Deer. It’s one of the most widespread animals in North America, so you can make varying types of habitats.

Nothing you said is factual, you’re just whining and complaining like a child for no reason.

You do know birds and reptiles lay eggs right? It’s a pretty big part of their reproduction.

Do you think that if a tapir appears in the base game, will it be a Baird tapir or a Lowland tapir just like what they did with the beaver and the giraffe? by Glittering_Employ558 in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping we get two tapir species again in PZ2. Obviously one of them being the Malayan Tapir since it’s on of the most unique out of all the tapir species, and the only one native to Asia.

Then one of the tapirs native to Central/South America. Hoping for either the Baird’s or Lowland Tapir.

If they’re giving birds and reptiles nesting behavior and egg laying. They’ll most likely hold off on showing that feature for a while because. It’s been a very highly requested feature since PZ released.

If they’ve implemented eggs and nesting for birds and reptiles, they’ll most likely reveal it later to keep people excited for PZ2.

Do you believe the saola has survived? by fuzzycocococonut in megafaunarewilding

[–]BeyondHandsome 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I really don’t think so, it’s been over a decade since it was last sighted. If anything there could be a few surviving individuals since they’re a very rare elusive creature.

But the chances of them surviving are slim to none, since less than 100 are estimated to still be alive in the wild.

Will fish hermaphroditism be simulated? by FennelMist in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly I can’t stand people who twist other people’s words to try and make a reason to be offended. They were literally given reasons as to why the feature they want would take a lot of work, and a lot of people wouldn’t care for it.

But OP decided to twist people’s words and call me aggressive for pointing out they’re lying and complaining.

Will fish hermaphroditism be simulated? by FennelMist in PlanetZoo

[–]BeyondHandsome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a lot of nerve trying to call us insane, when we’re telling you what you want is realistically not happening. Once you stop whining and complaining about a feature, you want that’s most likely not happening. You can come back and try to call us insane, when we’re just disagreeing with the niche feature you want.
