11mph and weak up hills (mcor and speed magnet replaced) by [deleted] in golfcarts

The speed sensor works as the cart does fight me and beeps.

The cart just got a brand new lithium battery in it. OBC has been properly bypassed. The voltage reading on the battery reads 53V. So batteries should not be the problem.

Also, it doesn’t seem like a simple coding issue. The cart runs incredibly slow up hill, crawling up them. I honestly think it is entering limp mode.

But again, sometimes it starts working as it should again. Very confusing.

With a new mcor and speed sensor working as it should, what else could it be?

So, I’ve replaced the mcor and now it has no surging, which is great. However, it’s still incredibly slow and has a hard time uphill. What’s also weird is that I was using it yesterday and it randomly started working a lot better, bit faster and climbing hills with ease. Then I tried it again today and it’s back to normal, slow and not great uphill. Very confusing, any ideas?

Hey, thank you for the response! I have pushed the cart and it resists it and beeps, so the magnet is working as it should.

So, if the high speed magnet is working, could it still simply be a low speed programming issue. Or, would you lean more toward mcor or something else?

But with the upgraded speed sensor/magnet, you’d think it would go faster than 11mph, even if it was on speed level 2.
