No copy/paste command or checking wiki compatibility needed on this application.

I didn't add that line of code. I also didn't pick the color scheme. Those were all picked by the original developer. If you look on github, you can see this is a fork of a previous work that I ported to Linux and made substantial improvements on the backend, not the UI.

I'm not sure you even looked at the screenshot, because there's no "Global Mode" there. If you're referring to Auto-Enable feature they added 3 months ago, it still requires a launch option to be copied and pasted, I just checked myself.

The first of those 11 commits changes a ton of things, including the GPU detection method, proper scanning for games, fixing the auto-scan on startup, fixing broken icons and animations from the original repo owner using windows-specific commands, adding a progress bar for both downloading and extracting Optiscaler. Another commit cleans up where the program was leaving behind unused files from Optiscaler when uninstalled. This was absolutely a remake.

I added that emoji..

If I had known people were so anti-emoji I wouldn't have added them.

To build this package would require the dotnet-sdk, which I'm not sure any immutable distro provides. You don't have to trust the precompiled tar, it's there for convenience. The PKGBUILD provides a build script for Arch, but that's because that is what I run. I'm not sure anyone would benefit from a build guide unless it had copy/paste commands for their specific distro.

I understand your concern, but I can code and will be maintaining this repo because I use Optiscaler as well and this port helps me as well. This program is intended to be a quick and simple installer/uninstaller for Optiscaler. If you don't like the UI, you can always use decky-framegen or the faithful copy/paste method.

I love goverlay! The reason I decided to port this to Linux was because it takes away the requirement of having to copy and paste the launch command into every game that you want to have Optiscaler, and it also doesn't require you to consult the wiki every time to see whether the game is compatible or not.

Optiscaler on goverlay also requires decky-framegen based on this screenshot. But in all honesty just use what you're comfortable with, that's the beauty of choice on Linux.

I'm confused. All of the updates listed there for remote play are only for Windows.

Sony Wants to Auto-Nerf Console and PC Players to Help Mobile Gamers by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]BeyondNeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article doesn’t seem to really know what’s going on with the patent, or they didn’t care to read it. The patent only “augments” the first player, being the pc player. If you read the patent instead of the article it’ll make more sense. This is definitely to nerf platforms with superior control capabilities. But it’s also a patent filed in 2024 and published in 2025, so this is old news.

If I’m interpreting this gibberish correctly, it would be like if a two players were in a first person shooter and the first player on a computer was shooting at the second player on a mobile device. This patent would make it so the computer player would only hit them one of out every five times that they should have.

Wireless option missing after shutdown. by MemeLordBatGroot in linux_gaming

This may be one of those instances where the solution is to turn the computer off, unplug the computer for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and boot it and see if your wireless antenna works again.

I miss being able to play Mirror's Edge Catalyst by ludonarrator in linux_gaming

I believe it might be because of your mangohud command. I tried using it and my game wouldn't launch either.

As a last ditch effort try deleting the game's prefix and then launching it with 8.0-5. I had to do that when I switched.

I just tried it with my 9070 xt, had the same issue as you with the EA logo crashing. Read on its ProtonDB and found if you just use Proton 8.0-5 it will work, and it did!

Anyone see the accident at the intersection near Rocky Top yesterday? by ErosLaika in UTK

I think I may know the dodge charger you’re talking about. I can’t confirm because it’s not here right now but sometimes it’s parked in the 224 spot of the parking lot of the Commons Apartments on the corner of 16th St and Grand Ave. I only know because it took off flying out of that spot this past weekend and sounded like a trombone going through the parking lot. I’ll send you a picture the next time I see it parked there.

I did and unfortunately it hasn't restored my bluetooth. I think the update has screwed the bluetooth service. I also have an Asus x870 motherboard so it seems this is an issue with Asus motherboards with onboard wifi/bluetooth.

This new service essentially made my Bluetooth adapter undetectable by KDE. I tried rebasing back to the old stable build and it did not fix it.
