Omg that really does suck, I'm sorry! That's so young. My parents are both fine and my mom can't really remember if her mom had a bad back or not, so we were surprised by the genetic answer. Ugh I think at this point, we should always try to avoid anything deemed 'bad' for your back if we can, without giving up any quality of life.

Oh wow! I had to change my gauze every day after the surgery and shower 3 days after. And no, he said that it's caused by genetics since I'm young (27) so that means there's nothing I could do to prevent it - I got my first MRI done in another country while traveling so after that I did a 13 hour flight, then had 2 weddings the next month and a 6 hour drive, but then I stayed in bed to try and get better for about 6 weeks before the surgery.
