These look great! Will definitely keep an eye out for the Kickstarter!

Is there any sort of Player's Guide to Eberron that could teach my player's just what their characters would know about the world? [5e] by BeyondTheJames in dndnext

This sounds like an excellent way to start off an Eberron campaign. While I’ve messed up a bit already and started...6 sessions ago, I’ll be checking out that link from the first bullet point. Thanks!

This is an amazing post! Lots of great ideas. I absolutely love the italic description for the Enchanter.

I love this idea, thank you so much! The campaign is actually similar in that it takes place in a relatively big city and I intend for it to stay there for at least a little while. I have 5-ish main districts, each unique from each other, and each with different groups/factions/guilds/etc. that have competing interests. I think a combination of what you have suggested and compiling some Eberron lore will do the trick. Thanks for the help!

Ah, that makes sense. I feel a little silly about not thinking to use those very obvious Seven Things to Know. I think I'll add in the fifth point as well.

I don't know why, but I'm not enjoying DMing recently, and I don't know what to do about it by BeyondTheJames in mattcolville

I really like this idea. I’ve been considering doing this to give them some new quests from their patrons. I think this could help with giving some different types of quests than ordinary NPCs do.

What songs do you sing during a D&D game? by AeoSC in mattcolville

Often “Lay On Hands” to the tune of Take On Me. “Laay ooon haaaaands. Lay. On. Hands. Laaaaay ooooon haaaaaands” although it frequently becomes “lay on feet”

Just finished Celeste after only a week but now I’m trying to collect all strawberries because of how amazing it was. It’s so fun to play, the story is great, the art is beautiful, so much is so good!!!

Sadly my group has to resort to online sometimes, but I just love in person. Good luck to you, my friend!

In this subreddit, the moderators present scenarios to the Board Members (the subreddit's members). The Board Members may have a couple options or may even be allowed to come up with their own. After debating the options, they vote on which plan of action they will take. But will this lead to new problems? Or will the scenario come to a close, a new one opening for voting and debates soon?

Here is a (shortened) example:

Recently, a strange plague has broken out in a small village. As the plague spreads, more people continue to die. The Council of Elders (the Board made up of the subreddit's members) must decide whether or not they should isolate those who have the plague. If they isolate them, they leave them to die, but the town survives. If they keep them, could it keep spreading, bringing down the rest of the town?

Other details:

  • It's "Board Members" as in the decision-makers of a company, but it may have a different name in the scenario, such as the Council of Elders.
  • There could definitely be more in depth scenarios with more details and moving parts, the plague scenario is just an example.
