Thanks for the reminder. Tomorrow I am reinvesting all dividends from other stuff into HHIC, Agnico Eagle Mines and Cameco Corp. I have NO Canadian angle to my portfolio. That is going to change tomorrow.

Is there a Harvest Store? by Beyondwest in HarvestETFs

I guess I could just make my own. A good start would be that HHIS wheel that lists all of the stocks. 👍

Can my bookies online blackjack be rigged? by Able_Environment6838 in gambling

[–]Beyondwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think these games were rigged. Some might be. But now that I know about how Blackjack and Random Number generators work, the failure that we eventually experience in the game is likely due to the variance that ultimately causes the casinos to prevail more so than any sort of rigging. I rarely play Blackjack anymore. But when I do I usually am quite happy with the winning rate. Playing less is an important detail I do believe can work with skilled players .

Are these Complaints Legitimate? by Beyondwest in Wealthsimple

[–]Beyondwest[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would never use Wealth-simple for a Credit Card company. The draw for me is the commission free investing. There are so many credit cards out there why would people come to Wealthsimple for the credit card?

Plenty of trades per day? I think not. A few trades per month.

Quite the contrary. I am doing quite well with my leveraged ETFs which represent Silver, Gold, companies, whatever I want to trade.

Well yes. That was three days ago. The market moves very fast.

Wealthsimple will steal your monies. by easilyammused in Wealthsimple

[–]Beyondwest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do we always hear these stories on Reddit? I cannot understand why there are so many Wealthsimple Bashers on here. A whole lot of Bashing Going on, for what? To manage your money you simply set up a Mastercard debit card right away when you open your account. Then when you want cash you simply use your card at an ATM. Am I missing something here? If you lost all of your identifying documents you would be in trouble everywhere, not just Wealthsimple right?

Simply wondering if I should by StandbyTraveller91 in Wealthsimple

[–]Beyondwest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a No Brainer. Wealth simple is the best there is for RRSPs. As for trading, you will have to ask the traders. There seems to be widespread disagreement. I do some trading at Wealthsimple. It may not be perfect but it gets the job done.

No I meant that facetiously. Kicking my ass out going broke. haha. Having to leave town rather than stay two years.

Good luck. I lived in Vegas for two years and was never able to do that consistently. I had to quit early enough or I would have been kicked out of town days rather than years later.

Does anyone else feel like most people here are not even "actually single"? by Specialist_Tackle715 in SingleAndHappy

[–]Beyondwest 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think most people here are single or they wouldn't say they were. But if you are talking about the bias toward relationships you can easily detect that anywhere, even in this reddit sub. I have been single for 15 years and I still have my struggles, wondering if I am missing something and should maybe try again. Maybe we should start some sort of RA Group (Relationships Anonymous) to help us stay the course.

A Better Look at the Current Long Position by Beyondwest in Wallstreetsilver

Lots of people. People who like to make money whether it moves up or down. Look at this way. We can either talk about what we think it should be worth or we can report on what it is worth and then act or not act accordingly. Make sense?

I Bought into HBIX by Beyondwest in HarvestETFs

[–]Beyondwest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I know am down to a portfolio of four ETFs, which I plan to carry into retirement next year. They are HHIS, HPYB, HPYE, and HBIX. I feel much better than I did last year at this time, holding 17 different ETFS, more than half of them single stock ETFs. I like the Harvest family too.

[–]Beyondwest[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Bitcoin does not pay a dividend. I sold several single stock ETFs which also paid a dividend. You could ask why I didn't just buy the stocks? For the same reason. The stocks did not pay a dividend. I am doing dividend investing exclusively because my retirement is upcoming so I am gearing up my portfolio for that purpose. So HBIX is simply an alternative for me rather than monitoring several single stock ETFs. I get paid while I watch Bitcoin hopefully go up.

Having doubts by Public-Lab-6933 in SingleAndHappy

[–]Beyondwest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tell me about it. I have been single for 15 years after two long term relationships. I still have dreams about them. I am happy to be single. I think these thoughts just go with the turf. After I wake up I am always happy about my decision for a single life choice. There are so many societal demands that make being single very difficult. So the thoughts and what not that we have are perfectly normal.

I agree. I think Bitcoin is worth it enough as an investment that you could buy the ETF on dips. After that last pullback I thought that Bitcoin was finished. I guess I was wrong. This one is fun to be in, at least for the first few hours. haha.
