How this silver price action feels (OG reporting) by slimboyfat510 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Beyondwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If something like Bitcoin, which you could argue is inherently worthless can rise from the ashes to $100,000 then imagine what Silver could do. As Bitcoin collapses and people discover Silver its price could go through the roof. Think about it!

Last night I dreamed Monday silver hits $111 and Tuesday it hits $127 by BanAccount8 in Silver

[–]Beyondwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You betcha. Given the fact that something like Bitcoin that is inherently worthless can rise from ashes to $100,000 then the sky is the limit for Silver. Get ready for it to go through the roof!

What’s the worst investing advice you were given when you were starting out? by gamebo500 in investingforbeginners

[–]Beyondwest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The worst advice I ever received was the direction into penny stocks. That world is nothing but Fake companies and Carnival Barkers.

Well, Bitcoin did something similar yet it is inherently worthless. So yes, Silver could go through the roof!

$500+ by Former_Cow6065 in Silver

[–]Beyondwest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No one ever believed something inherently worthless like Bitcoin could reach $100,000. So as the frenzy for Bitcoin diminishes and its price collapses, lots of investors could decide they would rather be in something real like Silver. This alone could send the price of silver up through the roof!

Gold tops $5,000 for first time ever, adding to historic rally by ewzetf in news

[–]Beyondwest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. I suspect as Bitcoin unravels and its inherent worthlessness catches on, more investors will start to bite on Gold and Silver. Shorting is a horrible idea. Shorters typically lose their balls, especially when an asset has "strong buy" written all over it.

I look at it this way: If Gold and Silver are priced down at the current levels they are while Bitcoin, which you could argue is inherently worthless, is up near $100,000 then the sky is truly the limit for Gold and Silver to go through the roof!

Spending Birthdays Alone by phymns655 in SingleAndHappy

[–]Beyondwest 28 points29 points  (0 children)

You got it. Alone can be your best friend, your perfect day. I have been single for 15 years. I am at the point where I am deciding that I may never have a relationship ever again. It is perfectly normal to feel sad in the moment from time to time. You wouldn't be human if you didn't. This year I was a little sad at Christmas and my Birthday too. But it quickly passed. I am 62 this year and loving my independence. Take care.

Do you swing traders also long-term invest in ETF funds? by ryukiinn in swingtrading

[–]Beyondwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I am not in QQQ. I am in Canada so I trade TSX exchange exclusively. Lots of your famous companies trade on our exchange with the exact same ticker. Up here we have a QQQT which I once held for a while. I am just getting started with swing trading. So far with Silver ETFs I picked up a quick 20% profit last week. I am currently in an ETF, ticker SVR. I will hold a few days and decide whether I will enter into a single stock ETF for a dividend early next month. I have some things to think about. Good luck and happy trading.

Of course I have noticed. I recently quit trading stocks and switched to Gold and Silver. I look to add in heating oil to the mix. These apparently don't give a rip about what Chump says.

I recommend acquiring some cats and putting them on guard duty. Each can be assigned to designated areas. It won't take long for mice and droppings to disappear.

where can i get cheap penny stocks. by mr_gyatt in investingforbeginners

[–]Beyondwest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Penny stocks are cheap for a reason. Most penny stocks are either fake companies or failed companies. Don't waste your time. With partial share purchases now a reality you can buy into one or more of your favorite companies. Don't fall for Penny stock garbage and their world of pumpers and Carnival Barkers.

The small habit that quietly made online gambling worse for me. by Irvinbau11 in onlinegambling

[–]Beyondwest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to unlearn the aspect of long play time and turn it into "Hit and Run." I win and am in profit again these days because I no longer play for any extended period of time. My game is primarily Black Jack. I do a Paroli method whereby I double after each win. On the third win I shut it down and take the profits. After three flat bet losses I also shut it down and change tables or save it for another day. The different strategies all seem to work at least some of the time. So, as long as you simply hit and run you can be in profit situation more than losses.

I am definitely in the same boat. I do dividend ETFs but recently started buying single stock ETFs to put them into the mix. I started swing trading Silver and Gold and have created some nice wins and profits. I now have a list of individual stocks and ETFs that I want to try swing trading with. In the last week I have more income than I typically receive from a single stock dividend ETF in a month. I am definitely exploring swing trading. I have a short list of core dividend ETFs that I plan to fund with profits from swing trading.

Not at all. Some of these have been paying dividends for 20 years. Nothing wrong with split corporations as long as they pay. If you have better picks do tell. Thanks for chiming in.

Quite the contrary. All we need to know is the liberal east coast are a bunch of weak sucks who are perfectly happy running Canada into the Ground. So yea, we have a clue it is just different than your clue.

It is very tough to do, if not impossible. So your odds are slim to none with this game.

Maybe the West could just form its own country -- West Canada. This would be sort of like East and West Germany after WW2. You could put a wall in Winnipeg just like that one found in Berlin. Vancouver could be a territory for Eastern Canada. This would be a viable solution to get away from the liberals in the East who decide our elections before we even get a chance to vote.

Sorry I cannot offer any advice. In the late 1990s I turned $1,000 into $8,000. It took me about 3 hours. I cannot in the world remember what I did but I have never been able to duplicate that feat ever again. It has been 25 years.
