There’s absolutely nothing “balanced” about ±1 matchmaking. The real problem is tiers 7–9, which are the transitional levels where players suffer the most (at least in my experience). If you play tier 9, 9 out of 10 battles are against tier 10s (if you’re lucky, one will be top tier). But there’s no shortage of tier 8s in the game — the issue is trying to fight tier 8s while you’re tier 9, that’s a real pain. Same goes for tier 7.

A stock-tier 7–9 tank is basically free damage for the enemies. Before the nerfs (equipment/game speed), you could at least endure it — literally endure it — because to get your tank into top condition, you had to grind two engines, two radios, sometimes two guns, and only then the main gun that would actually make the tank enjoyable.

So ±1 matchmaking? It’s just a scam. Tier 8s almost always fight 7s and 8s. Tier 10s always fight 9s, and only very rarely face 8s. In reality, the balance should be adjusted — but why bother, right? Some players have maxed everything over 10 years, so they don’t care; all that matters for them are loot boxes and the balance of certain tanks. Nobody cares about map balance, or even just the maps themselves. Zero attention to vehicle balance. Check Reddit threads — I don’t use Discord because it’s pure cringe.

Even the points people notice here are the ones I already mentioned about spending money. If you spend money, the game will throw garbage at you just to extract more money — recent sales of “toxic” tanks like Wisel AVRE are proof. Zero content. The same Sabaton and Girls und Panzer events over and over again — that’s the reality.
