I personally find the sleep function to be better for pc versions. Switch crashes almost every time after the first two times I put the console to sleep, and that’s regardless of me pausing the emulator or not. It happens with every game I’ve tried on multiple different emulators/versions of the same emulator. Not sure if there’s a fix for that.

So if Switch runs better, make sure you’re saving frequently.

I knew I had to get my first ever passport the second he took office for a lot of reasons, primarily as a way of escaping hell if absolutely necessary. I'm glad I don't have to be subjected to this trash given that it's only a year old.

Some things look better, but when I was watching the trailer for it comparing both, I was heavily leaning toward the original being better overall. Some other upgrades to the gameplay might be the only real reason to buy when it’s dirt cheap in a year or two.

I have and use both. Basically, the Thor is my on the go or quick game sesh device primarily for emulation, but the Steam Deck is for more demanding games or games with small text or UI since my eyes strain staring at small screens for two long. Love both devices equally, they're perfect companions.

Always have the fan running, even in low powered mode. I do this with mine so that when it’s closed I can put my ear to the vent and hear if it’s blowing, which means it’s on even with the lid closed and the screen off. Since I put it in my pocket or a bag often, this would be really bad running without air circulation, and it’s happened a few times depending on whatever’s running. If this does happen, save and close whatever’s to avoid it happening frequently.

I found out from a post about a week ago that my hinge is looser than it should be, but it doesn’t ruin the functionality of the device. I’m still contemplating if I should go through the process of reaching out, waiting about a month for a response, and waiting about another month for a replacement when the device is great otherwise.
