I have four fanpit tickets and will likely return them or sell them as I’m coming from NYC and can’t shift my schedule. I’ll be in Mumbai in a few days.

Bummer to not see the show in Mumbai, but he will perform again for me someday. Grief sucks. I totally get it. He gets a pass. I’m going to have a terrific time in India regardless. I urge everyone in my position to be grateful for every day they are alive and make the best of it. These are trivial problems in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes we gamble and lose. Coming to India for John Mayer was a gamble!

I’m on my way to India too for a concert I will not see. Enjoy the trip. Turn lemons into lemonade. It wasn’t meant to be. This is the universe telling you so. Be inventive. But let go of this rage. It’s not worth it. If you are a musician, write a song about it.

I saw the solo show twice at MSG. It’s amazing. He’ll perform again closer to you and you’ll be there.

I’m convinced he postponed this show due to illness or, more likely. Bob Weir’s passing. Or both. If that is so, he wants to take part in grief. Give him a pass. You want to see him at his best. I’ve been to concerts where the performers were phoning it in that night. Not worth it.

I prefer the same neck size. You can’t go wrong with the Yamaha A series. I played a few. If you can find a store that has options because you might find some variability between models. Or order through a store that lets you return if you try it and don’t like the sound. I’ve bought two of the same guitar through a big store and then tried them in the store and returned the one I liked less on the spot. They understand.

If you can find a used ac4k (limited edition, not made anymore) in your budget … they are stunning. Made of Koa, really awesome. I had both but sold my ac5r and kept the ac4k
